March:: A review
March was a fairly good month, no? Excuse me for typing in a French Accent, but I think so.
1.) I planted some pretties.
2.) Achieving goals and messing around with washi tape.
3.) Fave Fragrances for fabulous Fragrance Festivities (Okay, 6 F's, I'm just awesome.)
4. New blog series, Happy{Fri} Day.
I also got a concussion, but that's no biggie. Thank you for letting me share this month with you. See you next month! XOXO, Kryn
Happy {Fri}Day :: 3/30
My school Faux-cation is almost over and to be honest it's heartbreaking.
But I know Summer is right around the corner and I am giddy. Doesn't
summer just seem bright and happy? I think so, and I intend to make this
summer a great one. Do you have any summer plans? Xoxo, Kryn
PS: That is my milk carton. It's so cute right? I picked those bright colors because I am in full Summer mode. Lime green and orange are summers official colors. Or so I've just decided.

Knock you naked?
I told you, they were not the prettiest. But they were the tastiest. These are the brownies I entered in the fair. They are stuffed with caramel as you may have noticed. They are topped with powdered sugar. They are pretty much amazing. Unfortunately, I didn't get to be famous because I wasn't in the paper. But if you've been wanting to try these here is the recipe. (I left out the nuts and I suggest using less caramel. It was really oozy.)
These are also called "Knock you naked brownies" Which is not an accurate term. I was still fully clothed after eating them. But today in football I sort of, not intentionally pulled down some people pants and it just reminded me of these. Its amazing the things you think of in the middle of a football game.
Oh and by the way, if you make these, I'm not guaranteeing instant wealth and fame. I think it's more a one time deal. And to a girl like me, wealth just might be $75. Xoxo, Kryn

On my radar:: Ballet Boutique
| I'll take one in every color, thank you very much. |
Correction: my feet would willingly live the rest of their life in ballet flats. I'm just guessing I wouldn't fit in one. ( although, a ballet flat shaped house might give the woman who lived in a shoe a run for her money.)
Since I won the fair lottery, (It wasn't a lottery, I worked really hard baking brownies.) I am rich enough to buy a J Crew Italian leather ballet flat. I know I won't, but I still like looking anyhow. If there was a J Crew for cheapies brand, I'd be their biggest customer.
Like any of these? Which are your faves? Have a super sweet day! Xoxo, Kryn
A day at the fair
Yesterday we went to the fair. I basically love fairs. I like the fried food, riding cheesy rides and looking at all the entries. Oh, and I like making money. This year, I made $145. I am pretty much a happy clam. I entered these killer brownies that won Best in Division and Best in show. In other words, $75 dollars. I even considered not entering them, because they did look horrible! But of course, I'm thrilled I did because they can support my shopping endeavors. I am now thinking of all the great things I can buy. And I wish Fairs came more often. Because I know it won't be too long before I'm broke again.
Thanks Emily for taking pictures! And if you were wondering, #1 is what you should do if you want to model pathetically. I'm just here to help you all. XOXO, Kryn
PS: What do you think of my dress? It was not what I pictured making, but it turned out cute. Its also kind of Retro! (Eeek! I love retro/vintage stuff.)

Happily Fragrant
I adore fragrances. Incense is for hippe-ish people, but fragrances are for girls of all ages (and men if they are brave souls. But I'm not encouraging it.)
I have a long history with fragrances. First of all, I've been addicted to lip gloss since I was a little girl. ( i like smelly lip glosses, thus their appearance on fragrance day.) Second, when I was about 8, my grandpa let my cousin and I loose in Ulta. He can't smell. He knew that we'd used every perfume in the store, but he didn't know how horrible we smelled! Everyone was gagging when we came in, and Kare and I were quickly forced into the shower before everyone else suffocated.
That being said, I've never been in an Ulta since, and I've been a little more conservative as far as perfume goes. But I still love it. I am loyal to bah and body works. They have wonderful smells and the best coupons! I always end up going back because I have a coupon- their marketing is working very well. But not for my wallet.
My fragrance day adventure today was just a trip to Bath and body works for some candles and lotion. It was the darn coupon. How can I let it go to waste? Especially when there's free lotion for the low price of $10? I went at a good time, I got the store manager and she was nice and helpful. I am realizing now I should have wished her happy fragrance day, I know she would have been enthused. I always forget to tell people I'm celebrating, but usually I'd don't want to. Bravery is not my thing. Despite forgetting that, my fragrance day was a great success. I got my candles and Aruba Coconut Lotion ( groovy name huh?) and I celebrated amazingly.
So before I forget again, Happy Fragrance day!
Sincerely,
Filled with fragrance
PS: Not literally.
PPS: my dream job is to come up with cool names for things like lotion, candles and paint. I read an article about it in Martha Stewart and I know I would be amazing at it.
PPSS: here's all the fragrances I've used today:

Bloom
Okay, so I finally celebrated plant a flower day. One week later. But at least I did it. I am the type of girl who once I decide I want to do something, I persist until it gets done. At first, Dad said no(ish) but last night we made it to Lowes and picked up some little flowers ( oh, and yes, I grabbed a bunch of paint chips to add to my collection.)
So I planted my flowers like a flower planting pro. I watered them like a pro. Then my punk came and dug a huge hole and broke a bunch of my pretties...like a pro. I think I need to train her to be a little more unprofessional in her methods, that might save more of the flowers next time around. Anyhow, I salvaged most of them and Sophie went back to chasing lizards. Then Bubbles came, and in the same pro like manner as Sophie, attacked the same plant and dug another hole. It will be a miracle if these flowers last a week.
I love how they pretty up the yard. I feel all springy now, with the great weather and Easter being right around the corner and now the flowers are the icing on the cake. Oh, and I have peeps. Peeps are the official food of spring.
Have a super duper Sunday! And I hope I don't sound like an 8 year old, but I mean it.

Leprechauns and Luck
Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
There. I said it. Can I be finished being festive please? I obviously love holidays and celebrations, but for some reason, Saint Patrick's Day is not my thing. Maybe it's all the green? I have an extremely low affinity for all things green except for certain shares of chartreuse and lemongrass. It's also the day that lucky people celebrate - but I'm not one bit lucky so I feel left out. But then again, there's a reason there isn't unlucky day, so I guess I could celebrate anyhow because I wish I was the lucky type. I'm not doing anything really Irish themed today. Other than liking potatoes, I really have nothing in common with Irish people. We just don't relate, and I am okay with that. But I did have green s'mores today so I'm counting that as my super celebration.
Let's talk leprechaun. They are the one cool aspect of St. Patrick's Day. If they did dishes, they'd be even cooler. Everyone gets to make up their own idea of what leprechauns are like. In my world, they are short, talk with hilarious accents, do dishes and are always very complimentary. They wear green tights (they are very into fashion obviously as colored tights are in!) and weird outfits. What's your view of a leprechaun? I love how I'm telling you what something non-existent looks like. I'm just preparing you in case non existent becomes existent. I'm just here to help. That way, in case you happen to see a short man with green tights buying potatoes at the grocery store, you'll know who it is.
What are you doing this St. Patrick's Day, anything fun?
Sincerely,
Unicorns are a leprechauns main form of transportation.
Ps: oh, one more thing, I'm not wearing green! Yippee! No one in our family pinches either. But I'm afraid that when we go out later, random strangers will pinch me. I do not care for random strangers touching me. It's so uncool, even if it is St. Patty's Day.
UPDATE: By the way, I wore my most favorite shade of green today in public. I didn't want to face the pinching wrath of strangers. I loved seeing how many people wore green. And all those who didn't are very uncelebratory!

Incredible Kid Stuff
Being a kid is a lot harder than it seems. We have a lot of pressure. We are expected to do dishes and be annoying and a pain as teenagers. We are supposed to be cute and sweet when we are little and wise when we grow up. Can we just be incredible kids all the time and not worry about the rest? Because it seems that if you are incredible all those thing (minus the being annoying.) should fall right into place.
Incredible Kid day can vary a lot depending on your view point. If you are an adult, you might think today is the day your kids rub your back and mop the floors. But not so from us kids perspective! I personally believe that today is the day for doing the fun things you want to do. The kiddish things you know you are way to old for. It's a day to be incredible and a kid. A very nice combo right?
That being said, I'm not really sure I'll be living up to my glorious expectations of incredible kid day. The only incredible kiddish thing I've been wanting to do is to listen to audio tapes and smother a trampoline in soap and water and bounce. And jump and flail. But we don't have a trampoline, or the audio books Ive been wanting, so I'll have to come up with some other incredible kid plans. I did a bunch today, but I'm not sure if it qualifies. I played baseball. I ate grilled cheese. (which is a truly incredible sandwich!) I watched a cheesy movie. I poked a mushroom. I don't know about you, but today was one of those incredible days that I am just really, really happy. I'm all showered and cleaned up from my morning adventures and ready to do something amazing. Like writing letters? You bet!
I hope you have an incredible day doing things that make you happy!
Sincerely,
And you thought I'd forgotten this!
Ps: tomorrow the new series begins! By the way, it's not a huge thing, but I'm still looking forward to it and I hope you'll enjoy it. I really enjoy your feedback, please let me know if you like it, if you hate it, and anything I should change. We are friends now right? We see the good, the bad and the ugly.
PPS: Wanna know the ugly? In writing this post, I realized I don't know how to spell sandwich. This is pretty pathetic.
Hair Envy
Hair has never been my thing. I am always too busy looking at peoples clothes to notice their hair, even as cute as it may be. In fact, once I got the style I have not (which is not much of a style) I totally stopped looking at hair. I'm getting my hair cut in 2 weeks, and I so I've been on the lookout for some cute styles. Have you ever seen "The touch the feel of cotton" commercials? The other night I saw Zooey Deschanel and I actually got past her adorable outfits and looked at her hair.
Seriously, how cute is she? I love her bangs. And dress. So I think I need to grow my hair out, And then acquire this dress and dye my hair. Then I'll be set.
What do you think?

I'm blank...again.
Having writers block and a blog is not advised. I've got writers, homework, school and intelligence block. At the moment all I'm into is eating cookies and shopping-both of which are taking all my guts to avoid.
So hey, I'm posting about what I'll be posting. Pretty genius stuff! First off, monthly goals! I love goals! I really think they are important. I would have done this for March, but I didn't think of it till March 3rd. Sheesh! So April will be my guinea pig month and I am looking forward too it. Secondly, I'm hopefully going to be starting a weekly series thingy. You don't have to hold your breath because I promise it wont be another wordless Wednesday -those were so 2007. These should start before April. But If I go back to eating cookies it might not be around till April 2013. Someone please help me.
Plus, its plant a flower day. I love love love love flowers. For reals. They are gorgeous and feminine and pretty. I had really high hopes of planting sweet flowers, but because it was raining and I didn't get to weed yesterday, my plans were spoiled. Hopefully at the end of the week I'll get to it because I really want some flowers. Because I love them. Lots and lots and lots.

First Orchid
My little resolution to have flowers around has been going well. I'm not sure when I'll get to the completed phase, but at the moment I love having flowers in the house. Since my Valentines Day tulips, we've had 2 more sets flowers - which is really impressive for us. And we got orchids! I love orchids, but I've never actually had one. My dad's boss sent it to us, and the best thing is that we can (hopefully) keep it alive and always have orchids around. Mom and I are going to let Dad handle it, he's got the green thumb. Ours our are a lovely shade of black.
Sorry about the light postings - I promise to get my celebrations into gear. Hope your Wednesday was fantastic! xoxo

Washi Tape Experiment.
To be honest, I'm not totally clear on washi tape. I think its just tape. Washi style. I messed around a bit, a lot, and gave it a try. Here's the result
Yay or nay? Washi or not? I like it for some things, but I'm not sure washi would be great on everything. For now, it looks cute on this picture. I think I should get my hands on some real washi tape.
Enjoy your day! I'm off to go camping and intend to have a super great time. What are you doing this weekend?

Predator and Proud of it.
I am pig predator. And I like it that way.
A few months ago, my friends mom told me I was a pig predator. At first, I was kind of mad. But then I decided that I liked pigs lots and being a predator is quite an honor. So I embraced it and I am here to tell the world:
I hope you are not feeling embarrassed for me. Being a Pig Predator is cool! I know I have vegan friends, and I'm sorry... for you. Pigs are amazing and that tofacon just doesn't cut it.
So first and foremost - BACON is on the menu today. Is there really anything better than bacon? If so, let me know because I am interested in trying this wonder food. Oh and ham. Ham, I love you. You make me happy. And did you know that bacon is best alarm clock? Its true! Who doesn't want to get up when there is bacon frying and popping and sending delicious smells all around your house? And in our house, you have to get up, because there wont be any left if you hang out in bed!
Wanna know where my love for pigs started? Laura Ingalls. Blame her if you like, or thank her, but whichever way she's the one. I mean, they made balloons out of pig bladders - totally amazing! And then, the fried tale. Oh. My. Every time I think of pigs, I think of that. I have no idea why, but I have always wanted to try a crispy pig tale. Its on my bucket list. And trust me, it will be crossed off.
I think I should start a pig predator club. You are invite. Pledge your love for pigs and bacon (or ham) and you are in! We can have club meetings and eat bacon all day and talk about pig related issues. We can start a newspaper called "The Pig Predator Press" and write all kinds of cool piggish things. We need to elect officers - who wants to be president?
Happy Pig Day! Celebrate like you mean it, because you probably do.

Blank
I'm not totally sold. It just kind of seems boring. But the blank paper it is. I have not got much to say about - but its blank and so is my blogging idea's. I don't have a series planed or anything, just whatever-whenever blogging this month.
Don't forget to check out this months celebrations! I am going to be MUCH better on celebrating. Lets face it: Celebrating is fun!
PS: I had my most views ever during February - thank you all! You are the bomb dot com and I mean it.

Make Up your own holiday!
I am getting back on board with the celebrations like I told you I would. I was looking up the March Celebrations and here is the coolest: March 26ths is make up your own holiday! I am beginning to brainstorm and will let your know my idea's soon. (How about Justin Beiber appreciation day?)
Just kidding.
In the mean time, let me know if you have any super amazing idea's. I'd love to hear from you.
