Little Things in Life

These photos were taken on January 19th 2017. And other than the fact that these are film scans and taken by cool friends, these pictures are really hard for me to look at. The girl in these photos, bless her heart. I felt so so small, so young and so incapable for months. Turning 19 really took a toll on me, for whatever reason. An awkward in between, an age of limbo that teeters on the brink of adulthood.  Despite the pristine choice of footwear (in my opinion, of course),  I couldn't find my footing in life.

In the passing months, so much has changed!
(sadly including the weather, which means I can't wear my booties anymore.)

Here are some little (but actually big) things that made these months so good....

A day at the fair

Yesterday we went to the fair. I basically love fairs. I like the fried food, riding cheesy rides and looking at all the entries. Oh, and I like making money. This year, I made $145.  I am pretty much a happy clam. I entered these killer brownies that won Best in Division and Best in show. In other words, $75 dollars. I even considered not entering them, because they did look horrible! But of course, I'm thrilled I did because they can support my shopping endeavors. I am now thinking of all the great things I can buy. And I wish Fairs came more often. Because I know it won't be too long before I'm broke again.

Thanks Emily for taking pictures! And if you were wondering, #1 is what you should do if you want to model pathetically. I'm just here to help you all. XOXO, Kryn

PS: What do you think of my dress? It was not what I pictured making, but it turned out cute. Its also kind of Retro! (Eeek! I love retro/vintage stuff.)

10 things {habits}

  1. I do not believe in rising before the sun.
  2. If I remember to put the lid on the tooth paste-something is wrong.
  3. I love dusting. Big time.
  4. I don't bite my nails but I am an exuberant trimmer.
  5. I eat breakfast the second I get up.
  6. I love holding things over my nose (I'll explain.)
  7. People chewing loudly near me is so so bad.
  8. I crack my toes every morning.
  9. Drinking a full glass of milk is something I never do.
  10. I like to twist my arms in a funky way.
Okay, so I finished my fair stuff! Woot woot! I am officially a happy clam. I feel like doing something amazing to celebrate, but so far nothing. I'm actually already planning my next outfit (I say that like you should be surprised...I started planning it about 3 weeks ago.) I plan all kinds of things. Like what colors the colors my kitchen will be in my townhouse, what kind of car I'll have and what kind of dessert we'll have at my moms funeral. (Please know, I'm not hoping to use these plans anytime soon.) I guess I could have added planning to my habits list because it is a very prevalent habit. Oh, and in bed I like to plan what I'll eat for breakfast. I think I could write a whole post about the weird things I plan. Hope your Monday was just wonderful!

      Pretty Peices

These are the colors for my quilt this year. Aren't they all so pretty? Quitilting is really not my style though. Its all to perfect. Every seam must match. Everything must measure out equal.

      It's sort of like math.

And it all goes downhill from there.
