Exciting Muffins

I know, I know, An exciting muffin? HOW CAN THIS BE? You thought they were boring but ha! You thought wrong. Let me introduce you to the rock star of all muffins...(dun dun dun!)..... The double chocolate banana muffin. (!!!)

Somehow, that didn't sound as profound as I imagined it too?

But let's dive into the muffin - you'll find it's profound-ness sooner or later. My friends mom made these muffins for me once (okay, multiple times) and I've been hooked ever since. I seriously don't think a week has gone by in the past year where I have not had one of these muffins.

I just typed fuffins....I should probably just get to sharing the recipe.
They even contrast very well with watermelon nail polish. What a nice quality for a muffin to posses!

  • 1 ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup baking cocoa
  • 1 tspn baking soda

Amen, Amen, Amen.

Me and pancakes

Me and pancakes just go together. We love one another lots and lots.

Pancakes have been my favorite since the dawn of time. When I was 2, our family traveled on a train for a few days. And every day I had pancakes for breakfast. I called them panny cakes. And by the end of the trip, the nice old waiter knew what I wanted for breakfast.

I could really talk all day about pancakes. Have you been to IHOP? They have a insane  amount of pancake choices. Eggnog, cinnistack, strawberry, blueberry, blah blah blah. Its kind of weird. I am a pancake purist. Yes, I love the eggnog and strawberry pancakes, but I love plain ones just as much. With warm butter. And syrup. Its  pretty much the best thing a girl can have.

I have been looking forward to this day since I realized that I missed it last year. It's been on my calender since January. I have been counting down the days. I LOVE PANCAKES. Sorry, I had to say it. I  just can't really express my love totally. Last night I knew I had to leave early, so I was going to make a batch of batter and keep it in the fridge till this morning. But we had a small issue: our water was turned off! Thankfully we got around that issue, I made my batter and went to bed thinking happy thoughts about pancakes. Mom made me the pancakes for me in the morning. I was having issues not taking over the pancake making. I like to be in control. Anyway, I loved having pancakes. I will love pancakes today and forever and everyday until then. I'm not sure why I told you this story. But I did. So enjoy it. Please.

Thank you Pancakes. Thank you for totally rocking this world and showing people what awesomeness is.

Predator and Proud of it.

I am pig predator. And I like it that way.

A few months ago, my friends mom told me I was a pig predator. At first, I was kind of mad. But then I decided that I liked pigs lots and being a predator is quite an honor. So I embraced it and I am here to tell the world:

I hope you are not feeling embarrassed for me.  Being a Pig Predator is cool! I know I have vegan friends, and  I'm sorry... for you. Pigs are amazing and that tofacon just doesn't cut it.

So first and foremost - BACON is on the menu today. Is there really anything better than bacon? If so, let me know because I am interested in trying this wonder food. Oh and ham. Ham, I love you. You make me happy. And did you know that bacon is best alarm clock? Its true! Who doesn't want to get up when there is bacon frying and popping and sending delicious smells all around your house? And in our house, you have to get up, because there wont be any left if you hang out in bed!

Wanna know where my love for pigs started? Laura Ingalls. Blame her if you like, or thank her, but whichever way she's the one. I mean, they made balloons out of pig bladders - totally amazing! And then, the fried tale. Oh. My. Every time I think of pigs, I think of that. I have no idea why, but I have always wanted to try a crispy pig tale. Its on my bucket list. And trust me, it will be crossed off.

I think I should start a pig predator club. You are invite. Pledge your love for pigs and bacon (or ham) and you are in! We can have club meetings and eat bacon all day and talk about pig related issues. We can start a newspaper called "The Pig Predator Press" and write all kinds of cool piggish things. We need to elect officers - who wants to be president?

Happy Pig Day! Celebrate like you mean it, because you probably do.

Tradition Love

Today is about tradition, because it's the super bowl. Our family's groovy tradition for today is that us kidders get to choose a Super Bowl Snack. For the first 12 years of my life, I got little Debbie valentine cakes. I haven't gotten then for the last few years, but I am still smitten on their sweetness. This year, it's iced lemon pound cake from Starbucks. Yummers!

I like this Tradition a whole, whole lot. My other favorite is that we always listen to the big bands on trips. I think I should dedicate a day to the big bands - that would be seriously awesome.

Stop reading this and go watch some football people!!!

I.Want.This.

This week Dad is traveling to a wonderful place that is home to a store filled with lovely little delicious things.

Can you guess what I'm talking about??Ohmygoodness - this sounds so divine! I am very interested in the frosting. It sounds heavenly.

And If I'm not being mean enough, here's a picture of it.

(I also love the skirt!)

I want that cupcake. Really bad.

Girly stuff

I love being a girl. I love girly things. I love girls. I am one 100% girly.

And I absolutely love it that way.

Today I made bread. That's pretty girly right? I think so.

BUT...maybe its not girly enough.

So I made braided bread. That is super super super girly.Loving the blue tint guys....I mean girls. The end result - a perfect girls day celebration!

Okay, so maybe that wasn't the best celebration ever...

But then again, it totally was.

Happy girls day!

Sincerely,
Queen of all things girly.
I told you.
