DALLAS ARBORETUM

If you like flowers, this is the post for you! If you don't...well I'll pray for you. And in the meantime, close this post (or actually, this whole blog?) because flowers are what it's all about.

(like literally, look at the name of this blog?)

Story time: two years ago we went to Amsterdam in June. Which was fun! But I was sad because the Keukenhof Tulip festival was just 3 months before. And then last year we went to Seattle...but this time 3 months early for the seattle tulip festival. It's not to say that I've lost sleep over missing these flower festivals but at the same time, I was bummed!

When I saw a picture of the Dallas Arbortoreum on instagram and I happened to be IN Dallas at the same time,  I knew we had to go! It looked like a mini- Keukenhof, but everyone spoke english! And honestly, it was beautiful. SO MANY FLOWERS. And TULIPS. And every flora and fauna your heart could ever dream of.

(in case you were wondering, YES. This is all my childhood dreams/architecture projects come true.)

It wasn't Keukenhof or Seattle, but I think Dallas did pretty well huh? Heck, anywhere with a field of flowers is a win in my book!

Pajama Vibes

Well, this is embarrassing. I'm publicly admitting I love my pajamas.

I know there are some people who can't get ANYTHING done when they are in their pajamas. I hear ya peeps. I mean, pajamas are for beds and beds don't accomplish much except sawing logs and making you get up late.

But then, there's me.

I on the other hand, am like a pajama dynamo. Of course, I have my lazy days where all I want to do is watch you tube videos. But then I also have my rock star pajama days where I'm practically shouting "I AM GOING TO CONQUER THE WORLD!"

Something along those lines.

I turn on my turbos and attack every speck of dust in site (pajamas, dusting - does it get any better?) You guys better watch out...I get pretty fierce in my pjs. And besides the fact that I've been rambling on about PAJAMAS FOR PETES SAKE, I was going to tell you that today was NOT a dynamo day. The pajama vibes were NOT flowing.

So I got dressed in my favorite dress, because when pj's aren't doing it for ya, you'd better stick to floral prints, my friend.

There are a few reasons I don't have a fashion blog.....Reason one: This post.

(and this one)

Where I get them

Since I went kind of crazy yesterday (and posted only about journals) I thought I should tell you where I got them all.
Basically, Target!

I know, HUGE shock there.

Most are priced reasonably, and to be honest, they're the cutest! I've looked places like Barnes and Noble and Anthropologie, but I haven't ever found any I loved as much. Problem is, I need to find a new store I like just as much because I own just about every one from Target.

Clearly, I have a big issue on my hands.

Know of any good places to get journals? Let me know!
XOXO, Kryn.

Happy {Fri}Day:: 4/6

Hi lovelies!
I don't know why, but today seems like the perfect Friday. I think it's because I am wearing a dress, had my most favorite muffins eva, and the big brother has friends here which means I can use my household famous spying skills. I finally got my room clean, lots of homework is finished and I am making progress on my map world torture map.

I'm am dreaming of summer big time! Do you have any big summer plans? I'm doing swim team, maybe volleyball camp and hopefully babysitting, bowling and lots and lots of Popsicle eating. When you have orange cream Popsicles, you know it's summer. I've also decided that I need to build arm muscles because at the moment, I have zero. I can't even pretend to do a push up. A girl one. I know I'm way to young to use the "I'm old " excuse, but I'm going to either a.) get some muscle or b.) find good excuses. I think A will work better in the long run, but it will be tough. (And I reserve the right to take back everything I've said about building arm muscles. I'm kind of lazy, sheesh.)

Its Spring and I'm happy

Spring is finally here. Its time to do something awesome. I love spring! Spring just seems happy and sunshiney. I am hoping to have an awesome spring this year. Happy Spring! xoxo, kryn

I'm blank...again.

Having writers block and a blog is not advised. I've got writers, homework, school and intelligence block. At the moment all I'm into is eating cookies and shopping-both of which are taking all my guts to avoid.

So hey, I'm posting about what I'll be posting. Pretty genius stuff! First off, monthly goals! I love goals! I really think they are important. I would have done this for March, but I didn't think of it till March 3rd. Sheesh! So April will be my guinea pig month and I am looking forward too it. Secondly, I'm hopefully going to be starting a weekly series thingy. You don't have to hold your breath because I promise it wont be another wordless Wednesday -those were so 2007. These should start before April. But If I go back to eating cookies it might not be around till April 2013. Someone please help me.

Plus, its plant a flower day. I love love love love flowers. For reals. They are gorgeous and feminine and pretty. I had really high hopes of planting sweet flowers, but because it was raining and I didn't get to weed yesterday, my plans were spoiled. Hopefully at the end of the week I'll get to it because I really want some flowers. Because I love them. Lots and lots and lots.

Too bad none of these are in the yard.....

T is for Tulip

I ended up getting flowers after all! And oh my, they are ever little pretties!
A month or so ago, we watched a Globe Trekkers (yes, I love those) on the Netherlands. Of course, it was filled with tulips. I hadn't had fresh flowers in a very long time, and since then I'd been wanting tulips. Now I have some. And I adore them. My sweet mother didn't even have to ask to know I wanted tulips.

I've decided that I either need to grow flowers or invest more money in them because I really had forgotten how much I love flowers.
I am so ready spring now.

And more flowers .

And more tulips.
