Excuses

Since I've been kinda MIA lately, I could go into all my excused (School and Volleyball, we're looking at you.) But I don't think I will. But I guess I just did, so never mind. I've been reeeaaaallly busy. And you know that point in blogging when you have 50 million things to write about...and you can't get ANYTHING out at all? I'm. So. There.

So here are some pictures of Tubby. I know, what is this blog coming too? Soon, all you'll be hearing about are dogs and cookies. Which is fine by me, since I'm obsessed with both.

Dressed in overalls

Probably the best quote I've ever seen.  Math sure does look cute dressed in overalls huh?

Happy Monday everyone! I'm sick. For those of you who've been reading my blog for a while, you know that's not highly unusual. Basically, I get sick every 3 months. It's just awesome!

For the makers of Dayquil at least.

PS: DayQuil has a Wikipedia page? Say Wha??!? Geez, I might be the ONLY person in the world who knows this. Except you now. Let's keep it our little secret okay? (It's a seeecrudd if you're really fancy.)

Happy (Autumn) Dance

I love Fall!

Or really, I love the idea of Fall.

Living here in tropical suburbia is magical at times. No fairies or unicorn,s but it's nice to wear shorts in January. But fall is a total let down. I really wouldn't mind a break from the heat and the chance to jump in leaves and wear cozy sweaters.

I usually just get in a fally mood by lighting pumpkin smelling  candles. And I wear sweaters too!

I just turn up the air conditioning first...Genius!

(PS: Really, I'm just trying to sound artsy by saying Autumn. Why say two syllables when you could just use one? Have I mentioned I'm lazy....I don't think so.)

Haiku time!

So yeah, I wrote my haiku.

And, yes, I did have to Google how to spell it. Thankfully, Google's always got our backs...and the right spelling. I guess when I signed up for this haiku writing business, I didn't know I'd be actually LEARNING too! We ladies do know how to multi-task don't we?

Just say it: OH YEAH.

(I painted these ballet slippers when I was 5. They've been hanging over my closet since. I've decided that they ALWAYS need to be hanging over my doorway. Future College roommates, I hope you don't mind. )

Where I get them

Since I went kind of crazy yesterday (and posted only about journals) I thought I should tell you where I got them all.
Basically, Target!

I know, HUGE shock there.

Most are priced reasonably, and to be honest, they're the cutest! I've looked places like Barnes and Noble and Anthropologie, but I haven't ever found any I loved as much. Problem is, I need to find a new store I like just as much because I own just about every one from Target.

Clearly, I have a big issue on my hands.

Know of any good places to get journals? Let me know!
XOXO, Kryn.

I like journals....(a lot)

I'll admit, I'm kind of a sucker when it comes to thinks like journals and stationary. My excuse is that I do actually use them! I journal all the time and write letters all the time, so I like to think of it as a worthy cause. And today, I thought I'd show you all mine.

This one I just finished up. I absolutely loved it. Please note: my love for journals is completely irrational. I have to LOVE the journal, otherwise I wont get it. It makes no sense, but neither do I, so it's all good.

Basically, it's this...
And of course, cute little quotes (about happiness none the less) are just added bonuses.

I almost bought this journal, but passed on it since I hadn't finished my first one yet. A few months later, Emily gave it to me as a birthday present. We always joke about us being like sisters, and apparently, we do think alike!

I kinda weaseled my way into this one. (Just this one, I promise.)  I saw this and had to have it, and thankfully prayer journals are good enough excuses to convince mothers.  I always forget to write in it anyhow, but I keep it out ever day just because it's so flowery and lovely.

This was my very first entry from 3 years ago. I spelled every other word wrong and used exclamation marks like they were going out of style. And smiley faces and hearts.

Unfortunately, things haven't changed much. I still misspell things and I still love exclamation marks(!!!) I have said goodbye to the smiley faces though. Goodness, they are so juvenille.

:)

What do your journals look like? Do you have any preferences or anything? Or could you really care less? I'd LOVE to hear!

Silly me

This weekend has been good to me! Except, I was taking a bunch of pictures for this blog and forgot to change my ISO or whatever, and they all look horrible! Thankfully, they were not time sensitive or anything, and I got to re-take them all today. Whew! (It really wasn't that big of a deal, I just make little things big deals.) Anyway, how has your weekend been going?

Much Love,
Kryn

PS: You know, sometimes when I'm being silly, I write my name Krynnie. AND I'm always silly, so I basically do that all the time. By the way.

Birthday Signage

Today I made a bunch of signs. On obnoxious yellow poster board. And it was SO cool!

Right?

And then we went to this persons house, and hung them all over, danced for the edible arrangements man and hid under their beds. Birthday Surprises are the BEST!

I've never really celebrated a birthday quite as big as this one. So of course, over the top yellow posters  and streamers and balloons were just so OBVIOUS!
I think if I grow up and IF I work for a company that is in the birthday party sign making industry, I'll be seriously happy. Making 90's look like donuts and signing with creative names could NEVER ever get boring.

Happy Birthday Nana! (although, I don't even think she knows I have a blog....)

PS: In case you were wondering, Tubs and Bubs will be my co-workers in our birthday signage business. Who else would I ask for design advice?

Point. Less.

 Let's face it,
Sophie is just obsessively exciting.
I mean, as if you didn't know this already.
My point is, that sometimes I go outside and Sophie comes and I take pictures. Which is self explanatory, so that's not really a point at all.

I guess I just came to say that my duties this week are done. I've gone to school and done my thing. Now I'm gonna do my other thing, my favorite thing. This involves drinking chocolate milk, knitting and watching HGTV. I find it very satisfactory to know the home prices in Italy. Don't you?

Color Theroy

Before we dive into this, I should probably just tell you,

I love color.

With a passion. I could even say "I heart it!" But then I would sound like a teenager! Silly me.

(And you must enlarge it. Or use a magnifying glass.)

A while ago, I found this color thing. I saved it on my computer, but forgot to read it. (So genius, I know.) A few days ago I rediscovered it and, huzzah! I actually read it! My favorite colors are night, black, fuchsia and red. And....they actually, somewhat, (not really) describe me. (well, except for the being popular part!) Of course, I do like some other colors that don't even get on the scale of being like me. Like.... Caring? Um, sorry, no.

What colors do you like? And do they describe you?

Possibility of Dreams

My friend and I recently started sending quotes in all our letters. Mine are usually pretty deep. generally involving  sunshine, bacon and things dorks do. But they are cool! I found this today and had to share. Although sharing involves you making this full screen so you can actually read it.

I know, sheesh. So much work.

Weekender

I'm not really into weekends very much. I think they are generally not very exciting, as we don't have any outings or anything planned. But this week has been too much for me. It's been busy (and way too much volleyball) so I'm thrilled a 2 day break is here. I have a BUNCH of school to make up for, but I'll just take breaks every ten minutes and play with play-dough.

Because it comes in pretty colors! And it's soft! And Fun!

What are YOU looking forward too this weekend?

And the goodies are...
veggie pizza// wearing lots of dresses// awkward photos shoots // being a goal getter! // labor day volleyball games // cleaning my room // summer band practice // getting things done // writing poems

Woot!

We had our first volleyball game today. And we actually won! (Although, I didn't really know it till our coach told me. I had ZERO idea what was going on the entire game, and I was playing the entire game. Great huh?) It was nice to win our first game. Our second one is Friday and the team is a lot harder (or so we've heard.) Hopefully our Cheetos socks will earn us some points. After all, they are pretty distracting.
If they just focus on our socks, we should be in good shape.Who knew Cheetos were so helpful in volleyball?

GO TEAM!

It's my first year on a real team, so it's okay if I do that. Because it just proves I don't know what I'm doing.

PS: Orange socks were NOT my idea! Emily and I voted for pink, sadly we were the only ones.

Lets Face it: Life is Awkward

I was kind of going awkward moment free for a while....but not anymore! The past few days have equal parts hilarious and scary. See for yourself what nonsense I get myself into...

-Driving by a building under construction (that's just about done) and saying "Is that the outside?"

-Asking Emily if her grandmother (who LIVES with her) is alive. (Taco Bell food does strange things to people! Or I'm just strange. Probably not that.)

-having one hair that was 7 inches longer than all my other hair (it was freaky.)

- talking to your teacher, while you're trying to eat the worlds most crumbly sandwich and not get every crumb stuck in your teeth. (which was a miserable fail!)

-talking to myself in public bathrooms....not knowing I'm the only one in there.

-explaining that if you were on a 15 foot high zip line, you would be closer to the ground than 15 feet...

On an unrelated note, I'm taking a logic class this year. Iv'e decided I'm not logical. Well, I already knew, but it's reinforcing that fact. The first day in class I thought "Oh, I actually have to use my brain!" Everyday is a new day for me!

What's been awkward funny for you this week? (Wow, I just spelled week "Wekk" and then "Wee." I think a spelling class might be in order as well. I'm sure you're cheering!)

Dear Septemer

Questions (I asked again!)

I normally don't participate in blogging "tags" (mainly because it brings up horrible/hilarious memories of my first blog...but we wont go there.) I decided to go along with it this once. Well, I kind of just wanted to talk about myself some more, just to terrify you a little. Enjoy!

What is your earliest memory?
Our neighbor in the "Pink House" giving KJ and I yo-yo's. And we thought we were awesome yo-yosters.

What was the best day of your life?
Our day in Chicago was really fun, but I think summer days with the cousins totally beat it. Okay, I'm being vague here. I really can't pick particular day!

Rain or Shine?
Shine, but I'm not apposed to puddle hopping either.

Would you rather watch a talent show or sing in one?
Well, I might participate if it was a basset hound howling show, because really, that's all I can do. But since I'm not sure any like that exist, I'd have to say I'd rather watch one.

Dream Job?
Someone who makes lots of money! (more specific answer here.)

If you could meet anyone, who could it be?
To be honest, I'm kind of a dork when it comes to social situations, so at the moment I have no desire to meet someone famous. I mean, what do you say?!? I think I'd like to meet my Grandmother when she was younger though, but that could get weird. You know? Never mind.

What is your favorite part of blogging?
Showing you how cute my dog is.

What word do you use the most?
Sadly, it's "Like". I am a teenager, so I suppose that gives me a teeny excuse, but not really. Next to that, it's weird or hilarious.

Favorite Instrument?
Piano! I looove piano music, and I actually listen to classical piano way more than I do to regular (popular) music. I'm a little outdated. I also play the clarinet, but I don't really like the sound. Which makes so much sense!

Early Bird or Night Owl?
I'm actually a hybrid! How cool is that!?!? (You can just say it's totally awesome. I'm fine with that.) I don't have issues waking up and I stay up way to late. It's a blessing and a curse, I tell ya.

What color do you wear the most?
Blue. More specifically, navy. I just kind of love it? Okay, I'm head over heels.

Thanks for the tag Em! If you'd like to answer any questions in the comments, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Xoxo,Kryn

PS: September Alert! I'm not the only one who is completely excited right?
