Tray tables up, bandanas on.

I mean, we shouldn't be surprised that I like this look. I've grown up on airplanes, I can sleep better in the middle seat than I do in my own bed and I know full well that you never inflate your life vest inside the aircraft.

That being said, this look is confusing. Is it western, cowboy bandana vibes in full swing? Or is it a flight attendant style, parked best with prepackaged peanuts? Or a rich grandma from New England, one who embodies Martha Steward in every sense (except the being a criminal sense)? Is it a necktie, a scarf, a neck scarf, a bandana or ???

So many questions. If only we had a safety information video to answer them all and set us straight. But since we are not that fortunate, you'll just have to wing it like me and hope and pray you pull off the flight attendant look, outside of an airport and on the ground. As far as purchasing little squares of material to tie around your neck for an instagram photo, Urban and Zara have some first class options. But if you're more of a coach or on a desperate occasion, cargo kind of girl like myself, Walmart and Target should do the trick.

Bon Voyage friends! Just remember, even if the bag does not inflate, oxygen will be flowing.

Lepoard: From Loathe to Love.

I'm not sure if you're really supposed to take fashion cues from The Food Network, but I certainly did! Back in the good old days, a contestant on some cheesy food competition show traumatized Emily and I for life with her disturbing over use and abuse of leopard print. (#5 in our code of friendship, "NEVER wear leopard print"!)

It's taken me a little while (like, 5 years) to recover from the nightmare of Penny Dividi. I bought a leopard belt a few months ago and it was terrifying and freeing, all in one! And as my Christmas list wish seems to be brimming with leopard print... I kinda feel like I'm letting my 13 year old self down.

A passion for.....never mind.

Guys, I'm not fashionable at all. I really push the "fake it till you make it" to it's limits. But nevertheless! I do enjoy shopping and fashion in general an immense amount. I have since I was a very little girl (or nut, your call.) and now I'm doomed!

That might be a little extreme.

Anyway, Since interviewing myself went quite nicely, I decided to go for round 2. Of course, tags are so 10 years ago, so I apologize for my not-quite-vintage-lameness. But, it was fun! That's basically the only deciding factors in decisions with me anyway, so I might as well put my pride on the line.

And in case there was any uncertainty, I would go with nut.

1) How would you describe your style?
Please, don't judge my current apparel status of gym shorts and a t-shirt that should have been washed about 15 years ago, but ideally I go for classic with a twist. Classic, as in preppy and pretty and clean (?? hopefully everyone strives for that!) and with a twist because I also find wearing polka dot socks with gym shorts attractive. Just kidding....(ish)

2) What are your wardrobe staples?
Skirts and Dresses and really simple necklaces that you can wear with 80 bagillion things. Well, if I had 80 bagillion things.

3) Most wanted item?
A floral print dress. Because I always want a floral print dress, duh! But if you really must know, this is what I'm drooling over (unfortunately, it might actually be literally.)

 4) Favorite designer?
Guys, I am a girl with wine taste on  a water bottle budget. Dumb that down to a 15 year old and you will find me going through clearance racks like nobodies business. But hey, a girl can dream! and I do, and it's of J.Crew, Kate Spade, Shoshanna, Lilly Pulitzer and MADEWELL (!!!!!) Oh and Kenzie and Zoe Karssen. I think I spend too much time dreaming, maybe?

6) How much do you spend on clothing?
I seriously think everything I own is under $25. In our family, the way to survive is to bargain, barter and use coupon codes. It's like a modern day Hunger Games! Or, I guess an olden days one. Whatever. I have no idea what I'm talking about.

7) Favorite places to shop?
Target (because whoever said money can't buy happiness has clearly never been to Target.) Gap, Old Navy and Forever 21. I also really like Aeropostales basic shirts.

8) Favorite fragrance?
Forever Red from bath and body works. It's heaven and puppies and chocolate in a bottle. Basically, a lot of wonderful things.

9) Favorite way to have your hair?
Easy! Is that a style? Cause if so, it's ALL mine. I curl my hair a lot, but I also love buns and braids and anything that takes under ten minutes. Because clearly I have a busy schedule, House Hunters is on ALL day long!

10) What is your go to outfit when you don't have anything to wear?
A dress. A skirt. Something easy that does not involve thinking for more than 5 seconds. Who in the world has time for that anyway? I usually just grab sandals and my VB and I'm out the door.

That sounded so lame.

11) Most prized possession?
My Vera Bradley, I use it to death. And I loooove my glittery shoes. But they also love my feet to death so we sort of have a long distance relationship. It's better that way.

Goals + bubble wrap

First things first: I did GREAT last week with my goals, so I'm doing it again! Second thing second: I won't be doing this kind of post  every week because it will bore you to death I'm sure. Just every other week. Promise.

Third, this is a bubble wrap suit:

I have spent the majority of my morning browsing novelty office supply sites and procrastinating washing my face. Which is stupid.....but fun! And I stumbled across a bubble wrap suit which is  obviously ridiculously attractive. How about showing up to prom in this sucker?

Good thing I'm homeschooled and don't go to prom.

What kind of things will you be working on this week? Acquiring that stylish bubble wrap suit will be on your list...I'm sure.

Pajama Vibes

Well, this is embarrassing. I'm publicly admitting I love my pajamas.

I know there are some people who can't get ANYTHING done when they are in their pajamas. I hear ya peeps. I mean, pajamas are for beds and beds don't accomplish much except sawing logs and making you get up late.

But then, there's me.

I on the other hand, am like a pajama dynamo. Of course, I have my lazy days where all I want to do is watch you tube videos. But then I also have my rock star pajama days where I'm practically shouting "I AM GOING TO CONQUER THE WORLD!"

Something along those lines.

I turn on my turbos and attack every speck of dust in site (pajamas, dusting - does it get any better?) You guys better watch out...I get pretty fierce in my pjs. And besides the fact that I've been rambling on about PAJAMAS FOR PETES SAKE, I was going to tell you that today was NOT a dynamo day. The pajama vibes were NOT flowing.

So I got dressed in my favorite dress, because when pj's aren't doing it for ya, you'd better stick to floral prints, my friend.

Going to Jerusalem

Not really.

Theoretically. Hypothetically. Moving on.

I have a weird habit of naming my clothes. Shocker! Not every piece, but certain things just need names, and by George, I'll give 'em one. I had my circus shorts, my picnic dress, the sausage necklace and so on.

So let me introduce my Jerusalem Sandals....

 They're perfect. They're comfy. They look biblical. Yeah, they are awesome. I loved them so much I didn't even want to take them off when I went to bed. I'm a dork like that. And really, I'm a dork like a lot of things.

 And for the record, I don't wear this skirt every day of my life. Just most. And on those days, I always seem to take photo's. Flowy skirts are inspiring I guess.

Criminals go to tea parties

I'll admit it. Mixing patterns in an outfit was very risky to me. I'm not very daring when it comes my wardrobe. Give me shorts, a cute top, a colorful belt and a cardigan and I'm happy for life. Until I see a cute dress, but never mind. So when I got a new skirt I knew I wanted to try pattern mixing.

First I did research. Yes, me! Thank you, but I am just fine. I will spend more than 2 seconds thinking about something....as long as clothes are involved.

So apparently some can be successful while mixing patterns.

And then I tried it.

All in all, I'd rate this okay. A little weird and funky. It kind of looks like a bunch of criminals broke out of jail and went to a tea party. Which is not really cool. At all. I think I'd be scared and run off and leave my tea to be all cold. (But I wouldn't leave a cupcake. No Sir.) I think the patterns should be a little more monochromatic and softer - the black lines are a little harsh.

So, I crossed of a goal. But I'm not totally sure it's an outfit I'd wear again.

Color Phases: Emerald

I go in color phases. It started with lemon yellow, then went to bubblegum pink. Now, it's emerald. Trust me when I say, I've NEVER liked emerald. I don't know whats going on, but all the sudden I'm loving colors I used to hate. Well, I'm just weird. But we already knew that.

And I totally forgot to site these when I was saving the pictures, so I honestly have no idea where some of these are from. Except the second to last one. Marc Jacobs, $400. Oh, except it's on sale! For the low, low price of $298. Not totally what I'd call a sale.

PS: The Awesomeness payed off! Aside from having the same swim suit as 20 other eight year old's, the swim meet went really well and I even improved lot of my times. I also ate breakfast at McDonalds. I just wanted to tell you.

Hair Envy

Hair has never been my thing. I am always too busy looking at peoples clothes to notice their hair, even as cute as it may be. In fact, once I got the style I have not (which is not much of a style) I totally stopped looking at hair. I'm getting my hair cut in 2 weeks, and I so I've been on the lookout for some cute styles. Have you ever seen "The touch the feel of cotton" commercials?  The other night I saw Zooey Deschanel and I actually got past her adorable outfits and looked at her hair.

 Seriously, how cute is she? I love her bangs. And dress. So I think I need to grow my hair out, And then acquire this dress and dye my hair. Then I'll be set.
