Hola to you, October!

Cue everything pumpkin spice, because it's October kids!

(but if you're on instagram, you already knew all this.)

Anyway, I've had a mild case of Downton Abbey obsession, which naturally comes with a side effect of tea cravings. I mean, I've only watched like 6 episodes today. Like I said, a mild case. Nothing major.

But anyway! It's October (like we've previously stated) and with that comes all the pumpkin fall craze....for everyone but us because Florida isn't very good about being seasonally appropriate. Once again we didn't get the cooler weather memo or the falling leaves. But then again, it's not like I really have time for anything.....

Except for Downton Abbey, of course.

OCTOBER GOALS:
Post on social media once a week
Blog weekly
Make pumpkin stuff!
Fall shoot with Sarah
Work on Christmas boxes
Get back to bible studying
Enjoy the end of volleyball
get my permit (ha. that's a joke.)
COLOR MY HAIR, GO KRYN.

What goals are you planning up? Bathing in Pumpkin Spice Lattes? I wouldn't blame you!

XOXO,
PS EVERYTHING

Happily Fragrant

I adore fragrances. Incense is for hippe-ish people, but fragrances are for girls of all ages (and men if they are brave souls. But I'm not encouraging it.)

I have a long history with fragrances. First of all, I've been addicted to lip gloss since I was a little girl. ( i like smelly lip glosses, thus their appearance on fragrance day.) Second, when I was about 8, my grandpa let my cousin and I loose in Ulta. He can't smell. He knew that we'd used every perfume in the store, but he didn't know how horrible we smelled! Everyone was gagging when we came in, and Kare and I were quickly forced into the shower before everyone else suffocated.

That being said, I've never been in an Ulta since, and I've been a little more conservative as far as perfume goes. But I still love it. I am loyal to bah and body works. They have wonderful smells and the best coupons! I always end up going back because I have a coupon- their marketing is working very well. But not for my wallet.

My fragrance day adventure today was just a trip to Bath and body works for some candles and lotion. It was the darn coupon. How can I let it go to waste? Especially when there's free lotion for the low price of $10? I went at a good time, I got the store manager and she was nice and helpful. I am realizing now I should have wished her happy fragrance day, I know she would have been enthused. I always forget to tell people I'm celebrating, but usually I'd don't want to. Bravery is not my thing. Despite forgetting that, my fragrance day was a great success. I got my candles and Aruba Coconut Lotion ( groovy name huh?) and I celebrated amazingly.

So before I forget again, Happy Fragrance day!

Sincerely,
Filled with fragrance

PS: Not literally.

PPS: my dream job is to come up with cool names for things like lotion, candles and paint. I read an article about it in Martha Stewart and I know I would be amazing at it.

PPSS: here's all the fragrances I've used today:

A nice random selection.

Sweet Stuff

I love February. I love most everything about it. First of all, pink is widely excepted. So is dessert and yummy things to eat. By this time, everyone has forgotten about their new years resolutions to eat healthy and such and goes for the good stuff....pie, cake, cupcakes, cake pops. And you like the new background? Yeah, me too. Reminds me of a cupcake store. Okay, I need to change the subject.

For the 13 days leading up to Valentines day (and on Valentines day.) I'll be showing you 14 things I love. They all vary quite a lot. It wont be super thrilling, but it will be fun to share with you the things I love.

She is just the sweetest.

Red and Green

I thought we'd never get our tree. But we finally have it. And boy am I glad we didn't get a white one. There is something about a real tree. It smells like Christmas. It feels like Christmas. It just sort of is. Forget I said anything about not liking the smell of it because, it turns out that it's not true. I love the smell! I think we usually have gotten a Douglas fur which is much more pungent. But this is just a subtle, soft, whiffy, christmasy smell.

Since we have not decorated the tree yet, I was sort of messing around with some options. I made a few of these...But I can't decided if I like them and if they would work on the tree. Any thoughts or suggestions? I am *hoping* we can make our tree red and silver this year.

And, its tights time of year! This is a really weird angle on my legs, sorry. I am eying some plum tights now.

This was filled with red and green, aren't you proud?

5 gooooldenn rings!

This post has nothing to do with rings, and indeed it is actually a smell of the season post, but I love it in the Muppets version of the 12 days of Christmas Miss Piggie belts out "Five GOOOOLDENNNNNN rings!"

Its so funny...right?

FIVE GOOOOLDENNNNN RINGS!

Okay, on to the candle. I will do Miss Piggie the justice of saying that she can probably belt better than me. The only reason I thought of that is because this is the 5th smell of the season.

FIVE GOOOOLDENNNN RINGS!

This is the best candle ever. It's pink. It smells good.

and the tin is so adorable!!! I'm trying to burn the candle fast so I can re-use the tin for a craft.

Thank you Rachel and Sarah for this wonderful, multi purpose candle!

oh, and by the way....

FIVE GOOOOOOLDENNNNNNN RINNNGS!

Number 4

#4: Cranberry Cider

This probably would be considered more of a "Thanksgiving" candle, only because cranberries associate more with Thanksgiving than any other holiday. But limiting this candle to one holiday is pretty bad, because it smells so good! I really don't care for cranberries, especially fresh ones, but this makes them seem so wonderful and luscious.

I love this candle. And yes, I say that every time.

Happy Saturday peoples!

PS: And a little note of advice...cover your ears if you hear Justin Beiber's Christmas music.

Thrice as nice

Yay! You are excited. You can't wait to find out what the next smell of the season is....right?!?!

So, lets get on with it.
Hot Buttered Rum.

This just plain smells like Thanksgiving. Sort of like a pumpkin pie. Sort of like Rum cake. It is 100% fantastic and wonderful.

It also soothes people who don't care if public hallways have to equal 8' on a 1/8 scale and and people who wish they had all the items they need for a project.

Yep. It's been proven.
