Sarah and Kryn go to the FAIR.

A few days ago my girl Sarah and I went to the local fair. Which I have to say, was kind of a letdown! I have been raised on Montana fairs, and bless their hearts, it's one of few things country people do right. Lots of people, lots of ugly 4-H projects and tons of bunnies (the most essential part, of course!) This fair had a ferris wheel and all the creepy carnival men, and us.

Still we got good photos, which is really all we needed!

▲▲ Never underestimate the power of a cheesy self timer photo. (um, with a Harley Davidson dealership as the background?)  I'm actually getting fairly decent at them. I haven't decided if I should be embarrassed of that or not.

Thanks Sarah and thank you Lord for keeping the leprosy away. As a friend warned us, fairs are dirty places, and this one lived up to it (and more.) Pass the hand sanitizer, over and out.

Knock you naked?

I told you, they were not the prettiest. But they were the tastiest. These are the brownies I entered in the fair. They are stuffed with caramel as you may have noticed. They are topped with powdered sugar. They are pretty much amazing. Unfortunately, I didn't get to be famous because I wasn't in the paper. But if you've been wanting to try these here is the recipe. (I left out the nuts and I suggest using less caramel. It was really oozy.)

These are also called "Knock you naked brownies" Which is not an accurate term. I was still fully clothed after eating them. But today in football I sort of, not intentionally pulled down some people pants and it just reminded me of these. Its amazing the things you think of in the middle of a football game.

Oh and by the way, if you make these, I'm not guaranteeing instant wealth and fame. I think it's more a one time deal. And to a girl like me, wealth just might be $75. Xoxo, Kryn

A day at the fair

Yesterday we went to the fair. I basically love fairs. I like the fried food, riding cheesy rides and looking at all the entries. Oh, and I like making money. This year, I made $145.  I am pretty much a happy clam. I entered these killer brownies that won Best in Division and Best in show. In other words, $75 dollars. I even considered not entering them, because they did look horrible! But of course, I'm thrilled I did because they can support my shopping endeavors. I am now thinking of all the great things I can buy. And I wish Fairs came more often. Because I know it won't be too long before I'm broke again.

Thanks Emily for taking pictures! And if you were wondering, #1 is what you should do if you want to model pathetically. I'm just here to help you all. XOXO, Kryn

PS: What do you think of my dress? It was not what I pictured making, but it turned out cute. Its also kind of Retro! (Eeek! I love retro/vintage stuff.)

10 things {habits}

  1. I do not believe in rising before the sun.
  2. If I remember to put the lid on the tooth paste-something is wrong.
  3. I love dusting. Big time.
  4. I don't bite my nails but I am an exuberant trimmer.
  5. I eat breakfast the second I get up.
  6. I love holding things over my nose (I'll explain.)
  7. People chewing loudly near me is so so bad.
  8. I crack my toes every morning.
  9. Drinking a full glass of milk is something I never do.
  10. I like to twist my arms in a funky way.
Okay, so I finished my fair stuff! Woot woot! I am officially a happy clam. I feel like doing something amazing to celebrate, but so far nothing. I'm actually already planning my next outfit (I say that like you should be surprised...I started planning it about 3 weeks ago.) I plan all kinds of things. Like what colors the colors my kitchen will be in my townhouse, what kind of car I'll have and what kind of dessert we'll have at my moms funeral. (Please know, I'm not hoping to use these plans anytime soon.) I guess I could have added planning to my habits list because it is a very prevalent habit. Oh, and in bed I like to plan what I'll eat for breakfast. I think I could write a whole post about the weird things I plan. Hope your Monday was just wonderful!
