I've been meaning to write this post for probably thirty minutes, but I keep getting interrupted by the urge to listen to 80's music. And when the 80's call, you answer! 80's aside (and let's not forget this gem!) These are a few selfies from the first day of school! Well, if you want to get technical these are from the first day before the first day of school - details details! And the moral of the story is that if you wear the same outfit 2 days in a row, don't tell anyone. Except the Internet in my case. I always trust the NSA with my most devious secrets. Don't you!?
And on a side note, we have our first varsity volleyball game today which gives me mixed feelings of excitement and puke. But! I have noticed that when I am nervous I tend to get the blogging urge, if you know what I mean (which you probably don't, so anyway), and so I will probably whip out about 50 posts in 12 seconds. Yay for efficiency, I guess!
And before my death or I mean, I leave for Volleyball, let me leave you with some links because exploring the internet is fun!
▲▲ this shirt, OHMYGRACIOUS SOMEONE BUY IT FOR ME, THANKS.
▲▲ Scarlet peonies, I didn't even know such magic existed.
▲▲ of course, you internet know-it-all's know this is old news, but its a really interesting video!
▲▲ the styling in these photos are fab!
▲▲ my mom was looking for volleyball warm up songs and found this (and the greatest wedding processional of all time, for that matter!) read the comments, they are hilarious!
A fine day for...
best friends and horse movies. Oh yeaaaah!
Guys, let me be frank. Hot dog frank: my spring was REALLY terrible. I'm not really into sharing it here yet, which I am cool with, but in the meantime you may wonder and I will just say it was lame/awful. So thus, summer was extra wonderful.
Life has been looking up a lot more, and I'm so happy to finally be able to say that the sky is a little bluer and the laughs a little longer and the tears are few and far between. SO HAPPY.
So anyway! Onto our fun day! First of all, I was not aware of how hot it is here until today. I walked outside "HOW CAN PEOPLE LIVE HERE?" So apparently I've also involuntarily become a hermit because hello, AC is worth it. And also, a long sleeve shirt? Not my finest moment. But then again, the sweat marks were impressive!
▲▲ The "hey lets be cool and do a cheers photo!" fail. We apparently can not clink glasses to save our lives. Our excuse? "We were homeschooled!"
And no, these weren't staged a bit. Not pictured, how sweaty we were. But these dorky/obnoxiously cliche photos were totally worth it.
Thanks to Em for putting up with me for the day, you are a riot. and so are those horse movies.
PS: More photos (okay, one.) from our summery day on instagram..... @thegirlkryn.
Pinning patterns or some other cheezy saying...
First of all, is this a mood board or a collage or a pintastic something or other? Words like pinspired and pinspiration really bug me. I don't know why either, since I'm probably the most pinspired of all the peoples.
I noticed that a few of my pins matched (#yeah!) so...dun dun dun! A collage/moodboard/pinspiration collage or whatever floats your boat. But these colors are sooo good and a puppy with tinsel is makes it 10 million times better. You know it.
follow me on pinterest, and what colors have you been loving?
I feel like I should end this on a banana hashtag note....#bananas. There!
Northwest is best
Last weekend we went to Portland. Portland Oregon, which is about 18 million miles from where we live. And what does one take photos of when they travel 18 million miles, go to their cousins wedding and see family and such that they have not seen in at least 5 years?
Take cloud photos!
I seriously have about 80 cloud pictures and it's kind of sad isn't it? In their defense, they were rockin' clouds, but people are better! And weddings! I like weddings, but I guess not taking pictures of them?
On a side note, while visiting I had a very intense urge to pick blueberries. I don't even like blueberries though! Something about the nostalgia of it, I have no idea. However, my magical blueberry fest idea was quickly vetoed as traveling 18 million miles with 3 pounds of blueberries would really drain all the magic out of it.
It was so good to be back in the mountains and to see family and to not be sweating constantly. BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO LIVE IN 70 DEGREE WEATHER. Amen.
Photo dump, you asked for it. Didn't you?
▲▲ Good news folks, I was the winner of the artsy photo contest held in the Boston airport! On an unrelated note, I was the only one in it. Landslide victory if you ask me!
▲▲ Corn Hole! My advice, try not to play at like 10:00 at night, you might not be so pumped with your results.
▲▲ You know, I used to really hate posting pictures of me that were less than fabulous. But now in my ripe old age I have realized that no matter what, I look like I imagine myself too, so what the heck! Of course, a little more awkward photo discretion might be appreciated by you, but feast your eyes on Cousin Katie and Cousin Kellyn. Seriously, all the good looking genes in this family went right over my head and into these girls. No fair. No fair AT ALL.
▲▲ A family photo! Or the best we've got. We are a bunch of weird munchkins.
And now my brother is off to college in the bestest state and I am starting school and summer is outta here. But it was a very nice adventure for the last weekend of bliss and things of that nature. Bliss is also not showering for a week, thank you very much.
Cheers to families and weddings and 18 million mile trips and cloud photos of course! It's been the greatest summer ever lived.

Last bit of summer.....
First, a walk down memory lane! As if, I could really forget what happened only 3 moths ago, but whatever. This summer was magic. Not perfect, mind you! It had it's ups and it had it's downs as any ones does, but the UPS were HIIIIIGH. (and vice versa.)
I come out of this season feeling so blessed and more than feeling, knowing that I am. In every situation where I was sure the world, or at least mine, was going to explode and vanish and whatnot. but it didn't, what do ya know!? Thank You Jesus, that's all I've got to say about that.
And also, I AM READY FOR YOU FALL COME AT ME BRO. Because Fall is a dude! Today, right now in my polka dot outfit and with the sun shining and the cicadas singing the songs of their people, I am ready for varsity volleyball and college classes and lord have mercy - drama. Oh course, I'll be a scared chicken in 2 seconds, but for now I'm gonna take this pride in stride.
I have a few things coming soon, but for now I'm off to take cloud pictures because I have like 5.8 seconds of summer left and I'm gonna put them to goooood use. Cheers!
xoxo, kryn
PANTONE = WORLD PEACE (or something like that.)
Welp! It's been one of those weeks. You know, the weeks were every day is like so. incredibly slow. and you blink and it's Friday? And also one of those weeks where you are like "eh, things could be better." but eh weeks make good weeks seem even better. And maybe I should say like one more time just to round things up to easy peasy three. And i did it! So whelp week is turning into WOOT week if you know what I mean.
But that's okay, no one ever knows what I mean. I've just kind of accepted that as fact. But sophie! And Fred? They know.
Totally riding on the "Stressed, depressed but well dressed." mantra this week. I just look so dang good in yoga pants, so what can I say?
And no, I'm not REALLY depressed. But! I will tell you that it is very sad when you find out that Home Depot does not have succulents. A day of mourning, for all!
It's good to be back.
It's good to be babbling again! I take great joy in forming sentences that have absolutely no value whatsoever. And now, on with your life.
And Lowe's has very fine paint chips. And so I guess all is well in the world then. Paint chips (probably)= world peace.
