I go in color phases. I go in blogging phases and food phases. It's weird. but anyway, one color I have been loving is bubblegum pink. It's almost like neon pink, which I am slowly falling for, but a little sweeter. I bought myself a bubblegum pink cardigan simply because it was the only one in my size and I could exchange it. But after it sitting in my closet for well over a month, I decided I liked (loved it.) Things like deciding on cardigans takes time. You can't rush such an important decision.
Here are my bubblegum pink favorites....
Gap//J.Crew//Zara//Madewell
What colors are you loving? Tomorrow I'll update the celebrations and now I'm off to try some bialys so I can cross another goal (Clearly, I plan ahead!) xoxo, Kryn
Alternate Titles
There really are a lot of things I could call this post.
"Proof Bubbles needs a bath."
"I should be washing my blankets more."
"Awkward Dog Photos"
"Snoring Beauty"
But in the end, I think I'll go with Bubbles.
I pride myself on my creativity.
Have a great Tuesday ya'll. I also pride myself on my southern accent, just turning on the charm you know! The blog revamp is going well (not good mind you) and I can't wait to for it to be up and running. Blogs do a lot of running...? Let me rephrase that, I can't wait for it to be up! I have my first swim practice of the season today, eek. I'm fairly sure I'll pass out on lap 4. When Emmers and I went for tryouts, we swam 3 laps. When we got out I declared "That was a great workout!" Trust me, it will be rough. XOXO, Kryn

I know at the moment my blog looks like...well, not much actually. But I'm in the process of re-doing it, and I am super excited. But for a little while it might look less than exciting, which I am okay with, and I hope you are too.
I'm not gonna blab much about sunscreen. I mean, there's not really much to talk about other than its oily and smelly and I hardly ever use it. But I find it ironic that today, on sunscreen day, it's raining. It's pouring. (And my dad is napping therefore there might be snoring, although I haven't checked.)
Kind of a pathetic day as far as celebrations go, huh? I think the weather does not enjoy celebrating. Stingy thing.
So back to my main point, please excuse the pure boringness of the blog until I finish designing it. Thanks!
XOXO, Kryn
PS: I enjoy making up words. I hope you enjoy figuring them out.

On being Jazzed
Okay, You may have noticed. I have not been super enthused with this blog of late. It seems more like a job. (Sounds painful right?) But I promise you, I will do better. Even if no one comments and only my grandma reads it (by the way thank you!) I will carry on (Name that song!) (Well, name what song that's in.) I kind of go in blog phases. I love it, then like it, and well, then hate it! I am also working on getting a PERSONAL design, something Ive been wanting for ages (2 weeks.)
So Jazz day? Music? No. Jazz? Of course! Here is what I am jazzed about: living with in bike riding distance of Starbucks. Honestly, its fairly awesome. Mom and I embarked on our biking trip to grab cake pops at 6:30. We returned at 9:45. We spent 30 seconds at the park enjoying our cake pops (see above) and not enjoying being eaten alive by mosquito. So we crashed a friends movie, isn't that just the friendliest and jazziest thing one could do? It was the Karate kid. It wasn't totally my type, but I'm not sure 5 boys would enjoy watching Emma....(although they should!)
I also had a dream about Jazz. Last night, but technically today. I'm always technical. Or not... Are clarinets used in Jazz bands? Anyway, I dreamed I was in a band and we were all supposed to have our clarinets. But mom forgot to buy mine so when the teacher called us, I was less than jazzed that I had no clarinet. I asked mom what I was supposed to do and she goes "Just play the air clarinet!" Okay? So I rocked the air clarinet for all of 30 seconds before Sophie practiced her morning ritual of sniffing my face.
There you go. I hope you got jazzed up because, huzzah, I actually posted!
Sincerely,
All Jazzed up.
PS: That's a picture of my cake pop. I didn't want you to confuse it with anything else. Thanks. Goodbye.

The Addicting Screen
As of late, I find myself spending more and more time on the computer. I'm sure you've all had this problem - it can be so addicting at times! One day as I forced myself to turn it of, I was faced with the thought "What am I supposed to do now?!" I sat down right then and wrote down everything I could think of. Silly Random things and normal things and nice thing. Anything to happily get me away from the glowing screen of the computer. Have you noticed that computers sort of have heartbeats? Okay, I am official weird. But you've maybe caught onto that? Lets face it: We spend way to much time on the computer. Lets turn them off and enjoy life. And I totally love the irony of this - I'm telling you we should get off the computer...as I sit at it. Oh well, I'll be taking my advice in a minute.
So that's my list, what would you add?
xoxo, Kryn
PS:
I was pretty much cackling hysterically when I saw this. The truth can be painful. And very humorous.
Happy {Fri}Day/Week
First of all, My brain is still in place and I do happen to know its Sunday, not Friday. But anyway, lets pretend its Friday until you finish reading this post? Deal. Thanks.
This week has been the most interesting week in a long long while. Emily and I rocked it on our speech and got 1st place and District winner! (we killed the imaginary competition - yes we were the only ones in our division, but we still won!) And our family met someone from Timbuktu! I thought Timbuktu only existed in fairy tales and hypothetical's. Boy was I wrong (Do I sound like a mad scientist or what?) . I also got to impress the former owner of Graco with my fine grammar. Well, I thought it was impressive. He didn't really. He kind of raised one eyebrow and smiled nicely like "And you said you were HOW old?" I bet he was plotting how he could convince my parents I needed to ride in a car seat again. Not happening.
In short, we've had an exciting week. I ate a neon taco and we got a new fridge which I am constantly sharing the glories of. It's, like, actually cold! Oh the wonders of refrigeration. (I meant to say like there okay? I don't usually mean to the other 9 million times.)
Well, now that I'm all finished blabbing Sunday can resume. I think I'll go wrap Sophie in a dish towel. Sometimes, it just needs to be done. XOXO, Kryn

A few things...
I'm always making earth shattering discoveries. It's just kind of my thing. (Remember the Kanga and Roo incident?) Anyway, here's what's shakin', or shattering?
It is nearly impossible to take self portraits with a dSLR. I must be doing something horribly wrong, because I can't figure it out. Unless you think armpit shots are attractive. Which I don't.
I figured out the sock bun! So I used to gawk at ladies (and sometimes to me a lady only is 17!) who had really cute buns. Wow, that didn't sound right at all. This blog isn't headed in that direction, don't worry. I'm talking sock buns as in HAIR, not as in, well never mind. Anyway, they are way cooler than boring old ballet (hair) buns. But whenever I heard the term sock bun, I always thought it was just the name and never actually thought...there's a sock in that lady's hair! Turns out there is and now I am sporting this sockful style. A great use for soul mates of those lost socks right?
I've lived in this house for almost 10 years and I never noticed that in the morning, we have flowers in our yard! On second thought, I'm not really surprised I haven't noticed. Morning is a GREAT time for sleeping right? (Cue dad's groans.) But now I think I'll wake up a little earlier to see these pretties. Okay, never mind.
Our Fridge got raptured. More on Rapture party day. But its pretty hard to host a rapture party when your fridge is the first to go. I guess it got excited. But we are not too excited about its quick disappearance.
Is raptured a word? My computer says no. I say yes. I'm glad we got this settled before we all get raptured.
My celebrating 16 days in May? I never said I had to do 16 days straight though did I? (I did, but don't remind me.) I will get back on it soon. I just have not liked any of the recent ones.
Sorry for all the randomness. I am kind of at a loss of what to post. But I figured I might as well give you something rather than nothing. Genius right? You bet.

I wuv my puppy.
I admit, I a kind of obsessed with my dog. Considering she's the first real pet I've had (Unless you are counting Cherry Chandler JR, my well loved and long gone beta fish) she's pretty much my favorite. So When I start telling people about Sophie it goes like this
"I have the cutest dog ever, her name is Sophie and she's a Lhasa apso and she's so cute." Then I go on for about 40 years and then stop mid sentence and go" Aww, I wuv my puppy!" I know its weird, but I really do wuv her. And whenever I talk to her, I always talk in a really high pitched voice. Its obnoxious, but tubby wuvs it. I hope. I think, I'm pretty sure. If not, too bad for her. She has no choice in that matter.
*Happy Birthday Tubby...I wuv you!
*Yes, I'm the dork who post about her dogs birthday. I think it's cool. I know Sophie is grateful I mentioned her on this fine establishment of a blog.

Happy {Fri} Day: 5/11
Happy Friday Everyone! This week has flown by (which one hasn't?) But I am honestly looking forward to the weekend for once. But Mothers day is scaring me a lot. My mom is not someone who dreams of all the stuff she could have (like someone we could mention...) so I'm always kind of stumped as to what to get her. But this year I have a good idea and I can't find the key piece to the project. And I only have 3 days to do what I don't really know how to do. This will be interesting.
This picture PERFECTLY describes the kind of weather we've been having. The days are absolutely gorgeous with full sun, puffy clouds and a breeze. It makes me want to forget my plans of moving and stay here forever.
What are you loving this week? I'll try to post more next week. I'm playing it by ear, as usual! xoxo, Kryn
You Will be missed
Today is the day we mourn all the brave sock souls who gave their final hurrah yesterday. To the socks under the sofa, behind the dryer, deep in places we would never expect - we miss you. We wish you would re-appear so you could don our feet and we could be sockful again.
That being said, socks do not belong on my feet. It is nearly impossible to keep them on my feet for that matter too. I like fuzzy, pink long socks. But I don't like little sports socks. They got lost in the depths of my room WAY to easy. I honestly can't imagine all the places they hide. With my luck they are probably all neatly folded in my drawer, but who looks in obvious places? Now that I think about it, socks are spiteful beings. They despise feet, of course because then they get stinky and smelly. Eww.
On a better note, my bowling scores have improved! I'm hoping baby bowling is a thing of the past and that soon I will become an amazing bowler. Or I'd be happy with an 80, but I'll take whichever comes first. Also, I'm in full summer mode. I woke up yesterday thinking it was Saturday. And then today I thought it was Thursday. I hope my metal calender adjusts soon or I might be persuaded that I am skewed.
Here's to faulty calenders, being sad for the socks and better bowling!
Sincerely,
Tomorrow is Sunday!

Obscure Location
Right now I'm somewhere totally different that where I usually blog. Wait for it....I'm at the kitchen counter! Woah. I know its crazy. Yes, I'm feeling okay.
Lets get on with it. Its national Tourist day! I actually thought today was tomorrow, and tomorrow is No Socks day so I was prepping (and being sock less) for that. But I'm ahead of the times, as always and now I've got to go on about being touristy. Thankfully I'm a pretty good national tourist. I am hoping this year we can take a North Eastern trip and cover all the states I've missed. I've been to mount Rushmore, the Alamo, Chicago, seen Mexico, The golden gate bridge, DC and I've been to 38 states total. But what I really want is to be a worldwide traveler. I want to see the Eiffel tower and the Louvre and Big Ben. I also wouldn't mind hanging out at a cute little French Bakery and gorging myself on croissants. But that might come later.
Thanks and goodbye. The kitchen counter has been good to me, but I'm finished now.
Sincerely,
Or I could just go to NYC.....(mother!)

When Chicago dogs cause you problems.
If you happened to drive out of your local Sonic a few days ago and see a girl trying to stuff a Chicago dog in her mouth, that was probably me. I'll admit I wasn't graceful, but what's a girl to do? Stop eating? Never. Chicago dogs are normally uneventful and mellow. Tasty but not exciting. But I was graced with an ordinary dog. It was adventure packed. It was a rascal. But I can be bossy if I want and I bossed that thing into my mouth like a seasoned pro.
So if you just so happen to find yourself with a troublemaker Chicago dog, do these things and in battle Random person vs. Chicago dog, you'll win!
Order it the way you want it. Otherwise you might find yourself scooping of sweet relish. And peppers.
If you didn't follow step one...dispose of all unwanted items as soon as possible. Unless of course you want to sit on a pepper the whole way home.
Keep everything contained. And contained does not involve onions in your shorts.
Eat the pickle with the hotdog. Or you are at risk to by squirted by your pickle.
Toothpicks required. Poppy seeds can be only slightly stingy at times.
And that's how we seasoned pros do our Chicago dogs. We might not include me. I'm just speaking on behalf of the public masses. They wanted you to know.
Go and Eat your Chicago Dog. And don't get onions in your pants. Amen.
PPS: Beverage day post? Nope. But I did celebrate so don't think I forgot. Also, sorry for my Mexican rant. I love ya you Mexican. But be a proud American because America is amazing!
Get your fiesta on
It's only appropriate that today we use as many Spanish words as possible. After all, its Cinco De Mayo! Which first makes me think of Mexicans in sombreros shaking maracas and then makes me think of mayonnaise. Scratch that. It makes me think of mayonesa. I'm just trying to be authentic here people. My favorite color is rosa. I ate too much pastel today. And pastel is not chips and salsa. I would have said so because there is no use making chips and salsa fancy. It is just chips and salsa. It does not need to be jazzed up. No need to say you're having crisped tortilla pieces with spicy tomato brucheta dip.
I didn't do anything ferociously Mexican today because I was busy being amazing, being award awards and getting incredibly nervous in front of lots of people. But don't Mexicans get nervous...I mean nervioso? I think so. I'm just being a true Mexican then. I also love how I use being amazing and getting nervous in the same sentence. They don't totally go together.
One more thing about Mexican people: First of all, if you are a Mexican, you live in Mexico. If you lived in Mexico but live here now you are an American. You may have a great heritage or whatever, but you left it behind. Now you are American and there are no special benefits and you don't get catered too. Where's the bonus for 5th generation white American women? It doesn't work that way. If you live here, you are an American and you should be proud of it. End of Story.
Second: Mexicans, keep the accent to your self. Do we really need to hear "tortilla" like "tortiLLLLia"? Nope. Same goes for you Italians. Yes Giada. That's you I'm talking too.
That's all I have to say about todays celebración. I got out my little rant about Mexican-Americans which ALWAYS bothers me. I don't really know why, but it really does. As I have really said....realmente.
HAPPY CINO DE MAYO!
Sincerley,

May the 4th
Happy Star Wars day! Today is the celebration for our inner Star Wars
nerd.... And don't be modest, you know you are one! I have a funny story
about star wars day (and it may or may not be another blond moment.) 2
or 3 years ago, I learned about Star Wars Day. I was at some nature
thing with a bunch of other homeschoolers. I was wearing a hoodie. Gasp.
Anyway, fashion faux-pas aside, someone mentioned that it was on May 4th
and then said "may the 4th be with you." But then (cue hair color
change) I said, "well, they really could have done it on any other day,
it just had to be on the 4th." and everyone stopped scooping their pond
scum long enough to give me big blank stares. I tried to reinforce my
statement by saying it could have been in June (yes, I did say, June the
4th be with you if you were wondering.)
About 1 minute later I realized what a dork I was (am).
You are so glad I've grown out of all this right? Me too.
My favorite movies? Revenge of the sith and Return of the Jedi. Return of the Jedi because I have great summer memories of watching it 8 billion times with good friends. Oh and I do totally love the earth Vadar song and I always skip back and watch the parts with the song over and over again. And then, Revenge of the sith. Spell check says it should be revenge of the sigh, but for once I'm right. I first watched it in 2010 with broke. Watching anything with Brooke makes you love it. Except Icarly, but that's another story. So we are watching it and we get to the part where Anakin Is burning up and right as his hair lights on fire Brooke goes "oh, there goes all his luscious hair!" now whenever anyone Jenkins Anakin, I always think of his wavy soft luscious hair. I can't help it. It was so funny.
I should talk about Yoda (or actually, talk about Yoda, I should.) but we know all about him. My favorite Jedi is Mace windu. (seriously, his light saber is purple.) and I was totally shouting at the sigh sith when he was thrown out the window to his metropolitan grave. I almost cried. And I absolutely hated that lousy sith after that. And that's a wrap.
Sincerely,
"Luke....*slurp*....I am your father."*
*said by me when I had an incredible amount of spit in my mouth.

Happy {Fri} Day: 5/4
Yikes! Its already Friday. I pretty much forgot it was Friday until 20 seconds ago. We did a bunch of things this week, and huzzah, I actually posted a fair amount and (huzzah again!) I enjoyed it! You can hold the applause though, but I know you are secretly cheering. I might post about my Chicago Dog, It was pretty funny.
How's your week been? Feel free to comment your happy things. I'm off to prepare for the first swim of the season, woot!xoxo...Kryn
PS: Star Wars Day celebration soon. If I was punny, I'd call you a padawan. But I'm trying to be normal. You understand don't you young padawan?

Baby Bowling
At first, I deemed my baby day a failure and was going to substitute it.
But the more I though about it the more I realized how babyish my day
was. Of course, there are two parts to baby day. If it was 2003, Justin
Bieber's Baby song would not even be considered an option for
celebrating. Especially since it had not even been written. But
now you think JB when you hear the word baby. Or at least I
do. And probably every other teenage girl thinks the same thing.
So I went bowling today. Cue the singing, dancing in the lanes and of course JB and we are in babyland. Of course, our bowling alley is a little less glamorous. First of all, you can actually see the lanes and second of all you actually bowl and not dance and sin about how your first love broke your heart for the first time. But other than those minor details, the tropical Suburbia bowling alley and Babyland are pretty much identical twins. (I'm so punny.)
And then, I bowled like a baby. I complete and utter baby. And baby's who are reading this, I'm sorry. I must join your blankie loving clan because I can't bowl to save my 2 year old life. I think I got 38 one game and 23 the next. Oh just kidding, I meant 138 and 123. I wish. If I'd been in the Babyland bowling alley and been dancing and wearing high tops, I'd probably actually have gotten 138 for reals. But in tropical Suburbia, I was a baby with my bowling.
I think next time I go bowling, I'll go on adult day. Or better yet, Senior day. I'd for sure be a rock star and maybe beat my high score. Of 38.
Sincerely,
I'll always be a baby bowler

May Day!
Happy May Day! Today I will be brief because I've had a long (super fun) day. I also took about 10 wazillion pictures, which I'm sure you'll see in time. So for a late night May Day Celebration, please accept this months goals. (You can look at my April goals here.) (Oh, and PS: I'll review those soon, when I've got time.) (pps: celebrations!)
And as always, (Or actually not always) a cheesy picture. Am I a cheese ball or what? (You better say what.)
UPDATE:
April was a flop goal wise. May needs to be much better. But I had VERY optomistic goals last moth so I'm toning it down a little for May. But anyway, here's what I crossed off last month.
Clean the Pie Safe
Run more (work out, whatever.)
Practicedrawing
Spend more time reading/studying the bible
Memorize verses
Finish my polka dot dress
10 minute pick up in my room each day
Take the puppies out every morning, no complaining
Get up earlier
Make French toast.
oh, it was pathetic. But seriously? Who expects a teenage girl to keep her room in order everyday? No one I hope.
- Read the bible twice a day
- Make 3 different kinds of bread
- Start my polka dot dress (so you can guess how far I got with April Goals!)
- Give more complements
- Finish an AHG Badge
- Blog Lots!
- Write more letters and collect more stamps
- Don't use the computer till 3:00.
- Get a Swirly Ice cream cone
- Sew a zippered pouch
- take pictures more places.
