2018 - A YEAR OF WILD HONEY

When I think about the difference between who God designed me to be and who I actually am…well that’s depressing. I know I’m not the only one, we all fall short everyday. We forget to call our mom back, ignore a red flag here or there, explode on a friend. Life on earth is a vicious cycle.

Without Jesus, that is.

But in Him, there is so much freedom. Joy in circumstances that are anything but positive.
There is space for growing into our calling and grace for when we fall short.

I am starving to be all that Christ called me to be. Even if it hurts. Even if it doesn’t make sense. Even if it means laying down things that aren’t “necessarily” bad in pursuit of my God who is the epitome of goodness. I want to create art because I am made in the image of the holiest creator. I want to learn to love those around me because I am in love with the one who designed every emotion and feeling and thought. I want to taste the wild honey of the metaphorical promised land of who I am in Christ.

Each day I make choices. Each choice has a flavor. I have tasted enough of the wild honey of God’s goodness to know consuming His love is supremely satisfying to the zest or aroma of anything here on earth. The sweetness of saying no to a movie and yes to reading the word. The delight of spending an hour in his presence, instead of scrolling through social media. The joy that comes from speaking words of compassion and kindness.
2018 may not be a walk in the park. In fact, it might feel more like the walk to the promise land than anything else. But God has promised that His land for us is flowing with milk and honey. And each step in that direction, however uncharted or wild the path might seem, is closer to the honey that is the sweetness and goodness of the presence of God.

YEAR TWENTY: A YEAR OF WILD HONEY
“WILD HONEY TASTES OF FREEDOM - THE DUST OF SUNLIGHT.”

ANNIHILATE // Anxiety
I'll be the first to admit that anxiety interferes with a lot of things I do. And also there's a lot of things I DON'T do because fear or nerves or overthinking or whatever lame excuse I manage to come up with. I hate that it dictates decisions, feelings, emotions and basically my life. This is the resolution I am most passionate about working on, because I am SICK OF IT.

DO // Opperation Christmas child!
Every year I swear I will drink more water, chew less gum and do operation christmas child. And while this year I'm not even going to bother with the first 2, I'm excited to finally, actually, after years of anticipation, actually follow through with operation Christmas child.

WRITE // The Bible
I'll talk more about this, but I want to start writing out passages of the bible. Like chapters and books and all that Jazz. This is definitely a fluid process that I don't want to be too rigid about, but I'm excited. I love the bible! I love writing! And boy do I love any good excuse to go buy nice pens.

LEARN FROM // Find a creative mentor and a spiritual mentor
The more I learn...the more I learn how little I know. This is definitely something to pray about and be patient with, but I'm really hoping by the end of 2018 to have both a spiritual and creative mentor. I need accountability and guidance in both areas. Inspirational Pinterest quotes only can go so far!

REFINE //  brand/resume/portfolio
It might take 2000 years and an equal amount of money to get my domain name back, but this is the year to tackle all these details that I typically avoid like the plague.

SHARE // My testimony and faith in general
Remember how fear holds me back from a lot of things? Sharing my faith and the testimony of what God has done in my life is one of those things. The Lord has really been putting this on my heart lately and I'm praying for opportunities and boldness in 2018.

CLOTHED IN // Capsule Wardrobe
I went to college and realized this: I wear the same 10 things. Sure I have cute dresses and skirts and flowy tops, but do I wear them? Ha! Hopefully completing a seasonal capsule wardrobe will help me a.)wear more of what I actually own b.)stop buying things because "I have nothing to wear" and c.)be more creative than leggings and a sweater.

GET // Abs
Never have I ever had a fitness goal but boy, college can do things to you. And by do things I mean, make you really, really lazy. I'm not saying I want a six pack, but getting my abs back would be lovely!

CREATE // Bullet journal
I'm terrible with details. And I don't love that. Because like it or not, the adult world is full of details. I've begun my bullet journal already and I'm excited to track everything and actually be organized with information that normally I approach with my classic "ignorance is bliss" mantra.

CONNECT // with more creatives!
Creativity is so important to me. And creative people are an important part of my creative journey. I have a couple in mind for coffee dates, hang outs and shoots. And a whole lot of instagram  posts!

BECOME //  Ordained.
This is not clickbait. Last year my friend and I, both very single at the time, made a joke that our goal for the year was to kiss a boy. And then it happened for both of us and we were like, okay? this is a thing! So we decided in 2018 we can become ordained. Just in case someone needs a wedding real fast! But mostly it's just so we always have an interesting fact on hand for those dreaded icebreaker games.

FOR FUN //
Shoot a stranger (with a camera), 5k on insta, visit Saside and Seattle, be about my fathers business, girls trip to waco, more fun makeup and earrings!

"TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD."

Ready.
Hungry.
Let's eat.

// 2017 // 2016 // 2015 // 2014 // 2013 // 2012 //

THIS IS TWO THOUSAND SEVENTEEN

Wow, I feel old.

And I know in the grand scheme of things I am practically an infant in every respect but that still doesn't hinder me from feeling old when I write/say/think about the fact that it's 2017. When I think about my life 365 days ago, everything was vastly different. So much can change in a year and that fact is either beautiful or brutal, depending on the circumstances. For me, it's somewhere in the middle, Necessary change is still change nonetheless and change is challenging about 90% of the time.

So in short, I feel old!

GLANCE AT YOUR PROBLEMS,
 GAZE ON OUR GOD.

As this new year begins to unfold, The Lord has blessed me with an incredible peace, that even I don't fully understand. It's not a peace that assures me that 2017 will be a piece of frosting loaded cake (my favorite kind) but instead one that assures me that no matter what, Christ is the one guiding me. And no matter the circumstances or where He takes me, that alone is a beautiful and wonderful thing.

That being said, I ate cake for breakfast today so I'm hoping the rest of 2017 follows suit!

"SEEKING YOU AS A PRECIOUS JEWEL, LORD TO GIVE UP I'D BE A FOOL"
2017: EVER, EVER EMERALD.

SKILL TO LEARN //  Drive a stick!
It's like a right of passage in our family, and I'm ready to learn. Also I really want to be able to drive my mom's car because she has seat heaters and I'm always freezing. But it's mostly for the right of passage thing, I promise.

A GOOD DEED TO DO // Thank those who have made an impact.
I'll have more on this later, but I'm sure we all have lots of people who have made huge impacts on our lives...and they don't even know it! Isn't that kind of silly? If I had ever made an impact on someones life, it would be pretty darn encouraging to know that. 12 months, 12 people, 12 thank you's that actually get said and sent.

PLACE/PERSON TO VISIT // Sarah McNair in Virginia or Savannah
God has put amazing people in my life and one I really want to see this year is my dear angel of a friend, Sarah McNair. She splits her time between Virginia and Savannah GA, so hopefully I'll be able to catch her in one of those places.

FEAR TO CONQUER //  Asking aka being bold
I'm really bad at asking people things. Questions, requests, deep desires, for help-  you name it, I probably won't say it.  This year, I'm going to ask, despite my quaking fear and no matter the impending doom of answer. As the saying goes "It never hurts to ask." so here goes nothing!

A NEW HABIT // Hospitality and generosity
I know very generous people and they've blessed me through and through. It doesn't take much to be hospitable and generous, you can be generous with your time, talents, money, and possessions.

A BAD HABIT TO BREAK // Taking forever to respond to texts/canceling
I'm getting better, with particular people. It's easy to let fears and emotions and hormones to shut me down, but Lord-willing I'll learn to process those feelings and responding a timely fashion and not back out of things I've agreed too. And who knows, maybe finally texting with my thumb again will help it heal #thumbscrossed

A DEED TO DO, PART TWO // Get Baptized.
Why have I waited 19 years? I do not have a good answer.

A NEW FOOD TO TRY // Friendsgiving.
Should I say new ways to eat food? Because Friends-giving looks like loads of fun and mashed potatoes and idk, I'm a big fan of both of those. Who wants to come? Accepting applications now.

FOR FUN // All the things.
Celebrate my half birthday, make a quilt, reach 3k on Instagram, get good coffee with cool people, dress like Nancy Drew, crazy cool shoes and finish all the books I start.

Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
and the man who gains understanding;
For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,
and her gain than fine gold.
She is more precious than rubies,
and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.
P R O V E R B S   3: 13 - 15

So yes, I feel old. And the fact that I turn twenty freaking years old in 2017 doesn't help me feel any younger. But I'm excited to enter this new decade and who knows, maybe this year I finally won't be afraid to make phone calls? You never know what could happen.

HERE WE GO!

As always, Goals of New Years past:
2016 // 2015 // 2014 // 2013 // 2012
16

2016 // of Rust and Stardust.

Wow, what a year.

I remember sitting in this exact spot last year (hopefully with socks that matched a little better) feeling incredibly apprehensive for the coming year...for no apparent reason. Thankfully I can say that 2016 doesn't seem half as daunting or scary, despite the fact that it will be for a host of reasons.

These types of post always cause for a lot of reflection and generally times of such reflection always point back to one thing: the grace and goodness of God. Last year was hell a thousand times over, but it was just as heavenly sometimes. Which is to say that God doesn't call us to an easy, imperfection free life. But He does promise to protect us, provide for us and bless us beyond measure.

And that is just what He has done.

I'm thankful. I'm exhausted. I'm grateful and excited about what God has in store. I have no wild predictions for this year, but I know that through grace, God will be glorified and all will be well. There will be rust, of course. But I'm confident there will be ample amounts of stardust.

#RUSTANDSTARDUSTGOALS

- A PERSON TO BE MORE LIKE- Jesus! always Jesus! And this goes more along the line of spending even MORE time with him and putting him first in every situation, friendship and instance in my life.

- A GOOD DEED TO DO-  Back in October I realized what wonderful opportunities I have to  to invest in the lives of younger girls and be intentional with my friendship and conversations with them. Basically, cookie baking and coffee dates with a purpose .This one has been on my heart for awhile and I am so looking forward to being used by the Lord in this area!

-SKILL TO WORK ON- working on my me things! (blogging, photography, journaling, cross stitch, soap carving, you name it) Those fell to the wayside last year as well and it was a bummer because those things make me really, really happy.

-GRACE FOR MY SPACE-
My room needs a whole lot of grace right now. Keep it tidy, organized and relaxing...that's the goal.

-A BOOK TO READ-
Aquire a coffee table book or two and read Love Does by Bob Goff

-TO WRITE-
I hardly wrote anything at all last year. I stopped journaling, stopped blogging and writing on my top secret project. I'd like to press play on all that again and let the words flow (and typos resume!) and all that jazz.

-A FEAR TO CONQUER-
Public, Community theater auditions and applying for a job. Do you know that I'm equally terrified of both? No rational reason, just me ;)

- A NEW FOOD TO TRY- Thanksgiving dinner was a success! But you know what I didn't end up cooking? The turkey. So this year I want to (successfully) learn how to GRILL. Steak, Chicken, fish, peaches, I want to learn how to use the grill well and in general, cook meat. Cause men like meat, and I like men, so you know ;)

-LESS/MORE-
Less: Gum/soda
More: Water

-FOR FUN- Chop off my hair, whiten my teeth, get a ring I really like, enamel pins for the win!, lash domination and REALLY COOL SHOES AND GLASSES!

"He sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe..."
L O S T  B O Y //  R U T H  B.

This year will be messy but aren't they all? Thankfully, as a creatively inclined individual, I can appreciate the value of a good mess. So let the chaos commence! And a happy 2016 to you and yours!

2012 goals // 2013 // 2014 // 2015 //

To 2015 and beyond!

I have typed out a thousand variations of this post, and yet! None of them work. My feelings for this year are mostly a mix of denial, fear and cautious curiosity (which feelings like that can only lead to one thing: Nutella!) I mean, my senior year begins and I turn 18 (I demand a recount!) and just in the past few days I've been hit with the "WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY LIFE!?!?!?" feelings.

(Besides lots of pajama days, I've got no grand plans for my future....In case you were wondering!)

On this January 1st, I have NO idea what is in store for this year. But I know that through God's grace, little by little,  I'll travel far. He's got a plan and a path for me to follow....I'll take it day by day and let you know where I end up.

These things sound cheesy (I can't help myself!) I'd love to fall in love with my life. Even on the most boring days, my life is amazing. Sure it's not perfect, our family fights and I have bad grades and sometimes we run out of chocolate....but I hope this year I'll truly be able to appreciate how blessed I am. Even though we fight, I do have a family! Even though school isn't fun, I go to a great school and have so much support. And yeah, sometimes we run out of chocolate....but thank god I have an emergency stash!

2015 won't be about the latest or the greatest, it'll be about appreciate what's right in front of me. I may not be able to go to New York on a whim, but I have those memories! And those alone are enough....for now ;)!

TURN THE PAGE, A NEW CHAPTER HAS BEGUN,
HERE'S TO THE GREAT MYSTERY THAT IS 2015

A HABIT TO BREAK// I first wrote down "staying up late" and the next one that popped into my head was "stop gossiping"....and then i realized, they go hand in hand! The earlier I go to bed, the less chance I have to stick my nose in other peoples business and the better I feel in the morning. It's amazing how all these things work!

A NEW SKILL TO LEARN// In the past few months it has because painfully obvious that I enjoy singing and dancing....I say painfully because, I'm pretty terrible at both! And while it might be weird to be starting ballet at 17, YOLO! It would be even weirder at 20 so I'm just gonna suck it up and wear tights. Pray for me. ;)

A PERSON TO BE MORE LIKE// I have this wonderful friend named MaryHelen who is literally an angel. And she has this one habit that always leaves us speechless, jealous and determined to imitate. She has this magical gift of sensing when someone needs help (whether its picking up something, saying hello to someone who's lonely or cleaning up) and it's amazing. I'm not sure I can get up to her level this year, but MaryHelen is the person to be in 2015. (Did I also mention, she's 14? And then I question what I've done with my life....)

A GOOD DEED TO DO// 1.) PRAY FOR PEOPLE and 2.) Tell people whom I appreciate, that I appreciate them!

A PLACE TO VISIT// Our travel destinations have been greatly limited (more on that later!) ....sadly my list of places to visit hasn't diminished quite as quickly! I'm really just hoping to explore and appreciate Florida more. (Maybe Charleston? Savannah? Somewhere with good biscuits and gravy.)

A BOOK TO READ// ALWAYS the Bible, because you can never get enough. But I'd like to knock 10 or so of my Goodreads list (aka, my non school list!) Just some nice and cheesy books, you know!

TO WRITE// This is one of those things that sounds great in your head....and really dumb out loud! So I'm just going to keep it secret (like, we all know how well I do with those!) and work on my secret project. Meanwhile, you super sleuths can have a ball guessing what it is!

A NEW FOOD TO TRY// Working on my wife skills, I'm planning on preparing the Thanksgiving feast! Boys like that right? And depending on how it goes, I may or may not leave you all with my number...JUST in case ;).

SIMPLIFY// My wardrobe. I really only wear about 50% of it (and mostly black now, crossing my fingers this is just a "winter" funk!) But regardless, I need to downsize and curate my wardrobe a bit more. Didn't that sound fancy?!

FOR FUN// -Do childish things with my hair! Win the eyebrow game (or at least play it!) and GET A DISCO BALL!!!! WOOOOHOOO!

2015....we can do this! Let's go forward in grace and as always, consume a lot of sugar.

(2015 and 2014 might have more in common than I originally thought!)

"Conduct yourselves with all humility, gentleness, and patience. Accept each other with love."
E P H E S I A N S   4 : 6

Hola to you, October!

Cue everything pumpkin spice, because it's October kids!

(but if you're on instagram, you already knew all this.)

Anyway, I've had a mild case of Downton Abbey obsession, which naturally comes with a side effect of tea cravings. I mean, I've only watched like 6 episodes today. Like I said, a mild case. Nothing major.

But anyway! It's October (like we've previously stated) and with that comes all the pumpkin fall craze....for everyone but us because Florida isn't very good about being seasonally appropriate. Once again we didn't get the cooler weather memo or the falling leaves. But then again, it's not like I really have time for anything.....

Except for Downton Abbey, of course.

OCTOBER GOALS:
Post on social media once a week
Blog weekly
Make pumpkin stuff!
Fall shoot with Sarah
Work on Christmas boxes
Get back to bible studying
Enjoy the end of volleyball
get my permit (ha. that's a joke.)
COLOR MY HAIR, GO KRYN.

What goals are you planning up? Bathing in Pumpkin Spice Lattes? I wouldn't blame you!

XOXO,
PS EVERYTHING

THE SUMMER (OF ALL SUMMERS) LIST

SUN'S OUT, SUMMER'S ON.
(its kind of mandatory to start off these posts with blackmail material.....so there!)

As it is the way with Summers, list's are essential! Lists of highly first world things I would probably do anyway as my life is basically flitting from one pointless task to the next. But! My new school this year is gonna be a real jerk, so this is kind of my last summer of pure nonsense.

And we all know how much I love nonsense.

I couldn't decided if I wanted to take this the practical or impracticable route. But after much internal debate, I've decided I can't do either perfectly. So basically, I want to learn to change a tire and have rainbows shoot out my eyes. Sounds doable right?

-THE SUMMER (OF ALL SUMMERS) LIST-

READ: If I stay
SING: Oceans
PLAY: All Of Me
STRUM: new techniques.
SAY YES: to as many social events as possible
SNAP: photos and videos of everything
BAKE: something with lemons! i don't know why!
CREATE: Palm Beach Chic all the way
SHARE: All my Italy pictures.
PLAN: Girls weekend!!!!

What's on ya'lls summer list? Frolicking in retro bathing suits? Eating donuts poolside? Meeting new friends (and by friends, we mean boys)?) Or probably if you're like me, all of the above.

(just kidding, boys are lame! Netflix is so much better!)

"And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning all over again with the summer."

{and yay, lucky you! 2012's list(ish) HERE, and 2013's is HERE! Huzzah!}

APRIL AMBITIONS

You know friends, goals can be set at any time of the month! It's kind of ironic how I'm to lazy to post goals till April 19th, but I digress. No time like the present, am I right? Anyway, These past few months have been slow! I've needed slow, after a crazy winter. And not to be all seasonal and bring you into a weather talk induced coma but I am ready for summer in every way possible. (And I'm sure I'm the only one who feels that way....yeah right.)

mail those letters!
try new hairstyles
eat better breakfasts
work on lettering
bake cookies

Okay, this kryn is over and out!

Here's to a grand 2014.

I think for once in my life I won't be joining in the chorus of "I can't believe it's 2014!" Because I can and I've been wanting it to be next year since forever (at least February). I began the year with all kinds of grand plans but all those changed (Thank goodness, since they were probably really lame anyway.) I couldnt quite put what I was feeling into words, and someone I follow on instagram said it what I was thinking, only so much better.

2013 is done, conquered no less.! But  not without the help of a lot of tissues, puppy snuggles and sleepless nights. I am learning how to be fearless, be free and also, me.

Boy, did that sound cheesy or what?

anyway! here are my goals for the year! Last year I did a list and that was fun and dandy, but this year I wanted them to be a bit more streamlined and simple. Thanks to my bestie Pinterest I found this fresh and invigorating idea...here ya go!

A BOOK TO READ////  This one is funny, since normally I don't read. But actually I've begun to read! Which is pretty incredible considering I have not picked up a book out of my own free will in years. But I would kind of like to migrate from fluff books to something of substance. So Pride and Prejudice it is. That counts, right?

A NEW SKILL TO LEARN//// One day I decided I wanted to play the ukulele, and I've pretty much been obsessing over it ever since. But I have found that it's hard to learn to play a uke without actually HAVING a uke, so this one might be tough. We shall see!

A PERSON TO BE MORE LIKE//// I think the best version of me I can possibly be. Because sometimes She (me!) acts like a monster and it's kind of embarrassing. But the REAL me is caring and kind and thoughtful and fun and I just need to be those more often.

A GOOD DEED TO DO//// send care packages! I know know several people who deserve a little love, and I hope to give them just that.

A PLACE TO VISIT /////  Oh, so many! But if possible, Peru and (wait for it..) Paris. Shocked ya there, didn't I?

A BAD HABIT TO BREAK///// Well it's kind of hard to pick, so I'm just gonna do a simple one. It's easy to skip bible study when really IT'S SO CRUCIAL. This year, stop skipping the good stuff girl! God's the only one who has brought me this far and the only way I can make it any further.

A LETTER TO WRITE//// in  2014 my goal is still the same, 100 letters. To friends, loved ones and maybe strangers. And me!

SOMETHING TO DO BETTER AT////Again, I'm being kinda generic, but my art! Art (photography, writing, blogging, painting, music and soap carving) are all things I love. Improve my lettering, learn to draw, be artistic and BE PROUD. oomp.

Ready or not, 2014 is HERE! And I'm ready to have a grand year.

What about you friend? What goals are you working toward this year? Let's make this year a good one.

DUN DUN DUN, September!

And so, it' is September and I'm not sure how I feel about it. But! We are one month closer to fall leaves and Christmas so I guess I can handle it. MAYBE. But, have I told you about drama club? My dear mother decided it was high time I put my drama to good use (I swear, I'm not dramatic at all! Except about candles, grilled cheese and everything else in life. Sheesh!) and so here I am in drama. But then, there is this tiny thing called, oh I don't know, A BRITISH ACCENT, in which we must master and actually USE in public.

So my main goal for September will to be survive, British accents and volleyball, thank you very much. Not like I'm complaining or anything! But, feel free to bring me cupcakes at any point and time, okey dokey?

-WORK ON BRITISH ACCENT
-Not miss any serves in a game
-post one outfit post (i have a feeling i might regret this, but we shall see!)
-play tennis
-get a succulent
-write more letters
- do fun things with friends.

And now, would you like some tea? Because I feel like when homeschoolers try and do British accents, that's all they say. That or some uber romantic line from Pride and Prejudice which I guess is fine by me.

Have a great day, and If it were possible to type in a British accent then I totally would. Cheers!

Having nothing to say but saying quite a lot anyhow...

Guys, this is kinda odd.

I really have NOTHING to say!

I mean, I could talk about how lazy I've been today or how sluggish the weather is. I could blab about how disgusting I look....not to mention the fact that my shirt has been backwards all day. Oh, and then there's the fact that I bought a head scarf and I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Some heads for made for scarves, Some not. The blunt truth my friends. I have a feeling my head will air on the not side of the issue, but I'm too nervous to try it on. And being nervous like that results in an informal staring contest with that dang headscarf wondering "Should i?"

Please, say no. I don't want want to feel inferior. Why is your head more headscarf worthy than mine?? Where did I go wrong? My poor, poor shaped cranium...rest in peace, beloved headscarf.

And since when did this post get all sad? And since when did I have something to say?

Two things about this: I did not use spell check, computer or brain version, I am sorta sorry if I spelled everything wrong. I'm also not sorry, because I was way to lazy to use either version. Thing two: Excuse the hideous gray. That I am sorry for, because I miss pink!

On another note, I tried on the headscarf. Let's just say my hypothesis was right. My head sorta looked like an eggplant.

Eggplant brain, over and out!

PS: Sophie wanted me to tell you, she really loves her new headscarf. her cranium is now fully in style.

Summer Syllabus because I pretend I'm fancy

Summer! Summer! I feel as though summer is a bit more nostalgic feeling that it actually ends up ever being. Like I imagine all these perfect, romantic sunset picnics while in reality it's more of a battle between you and misquotes, and the bug wins!

But for the record - I'm an optimist.....

In my dreams.

Like last Summer, a Summer list was in order. On a hardly related note, it needs a new name, "Summer List" is just as generic as the brands at walmart. But that's for later. For now I give you my list, for the sake of whatever.

Make Macaroons
BUILD MUSCLE! YEAH!
(ironic combo, no?)
Visit a new state
Continue working on the splits
PARTY IN PUERTO RICO!
Internet free week
Concoct twisty lemonade
Got to the beach at least once
FACE the Library!
Get contacts
Buy a summer perfume.

Alright, that's done. Now, what's on your summer agenda? list? record? I totally just looked up synonyms for list and dun dun dun, syllabus! How fancy shmancy does a "Summer Syllabus" sound? You gotta admit, it's got a ring to it.

Summer Syllabus it is...of at least until I change my mind again, which will probably be in 20 seconds. Enjoy it while it lasts!

HEY MAY! and goals.

Mondays, I am your friend. Maybe even your BFF??! Yesss.

I feel like Mondays get a bad wrap....why!? I for one actually do not enjoy weekends. I actually like having things to do and stuff to accomplish, and weekends are just kinda blah. So when Monday shows up I'm dancing and cheering.

Like today for example, I was dancing in the diaper aisle at Walgreens.
THREE CHEERS FOR MONDAYS!

Now that we've got that foofoo stuff out of the way - it's time to get straight to it: goals my friends, goals! You love Mondays too right....?

MAY GOALS:
-paint once a week
-write once a week
-walk new places
-make ice cream!
-order pictures

Whatcha been up too lately? Catch ya later!

Things about stuff

(my official end  of the school year photo, see 2012 here.)

helloooooooooooooooooooooo!

Wow. Okay, for the record I am not in preschool although my over use over exclamation marks and unnecessary letters might not help me prove my point. Can preschoolers even type? Sheesh. Kids these days! Back in my day, we had to....

My point is that TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL and therefore I am very hyper/excited/sad because now I will probably wear gym shorts until School next year. And wearing gym shorts and being very un-fit is kinda a weird deal, if you ask me. And also, these are my goals for the weeks. So I don't end up wearing gym shorts and eating Cheetos and watching sponge bob for the rest of my life....

When do you finish school? Happy day to all you ladies!

Goals + bubble wrap

First things first: I did GREAT last week with my goals, so I'm doing it again! Second thing second: I won't be doing this kind of post  every week because it will bore you to death I'm sure. Just every other week. Promise.

Third, this is a bubble wrap suit:
I have spent the majority of my morning browsing novelty office supply sites and procrastinating washing my face. Which is stupid.....but fun! And I stumbled across a bubble wrap suit which is  obviously ridiculously attractive. How about showing up to prom in this sucker?

Good thing I'm homeschooled and don't go to prom.

What kind of things will you be working on this week? Acquiring that stylish bubble wrap suit will be on your list...I'm sure.

I think?

XOXO, Kryn

The kicker + goals

What...MORE?!?! As if I already did not have enough goals hanging over my head...I'm adding more. No one has ever called me a genius so of course I don't want to mess up my perfect record. :)

(I actually used a smiley face...what is up with me?)

Okay, so anyway, this week I really needed a kick in the pants. THIS week as in the one that started 19 hours ago (or so.) Because if today was any indication, this NEEDS to be pant kicking week. Not to be weird or anything, I would NEVER do that.

And so, what things will YOU be working on this week? I'm ready for my kicker week...what about?

2013 (and ten million goals)

I seem to be a little bit in shock that uh, 2012 has ended? Writing 2013 in my journal today made me absolutely giddy (dork alert!) 2012 was good to me, but that certainly does not mean it came without challenges. I feel like I've grown up a ton....

Yet somehow I still feel like I'm two years old. (??)

I guess one thing is that two year old don't make goals. I, unlike them, have about 50 million for this year. And no, lip gloss is NOT on the list. (last year was a bit of an embarrassment, but I accomplished ALL of them!!! So, of course the natural response it to make 15 million more. Let's not get in the way of nature, okay kids?)

Anyway... without further ado, let me introduce you to 2013's slew of goals! (I've even categorized them! Woo hoo! Not alphabetically though, you have to remember I'm related to sloths. Which just means I'm lazy. We don't really have much in common other than that. So never mind.)

Yep, that's not definitely not overkill. I've added almost 20 just since writing this post. I'm a dreamer, what can I say?

And so, do YOU have any goals for 2013? Surely your list is more reasonable! Hopefully....

xoxo,
Let's hope I don't add anymore.

Dear November

I'll spare you from all the"It's November already?" and "WHERE has the time gone" talk, but really, it's true! So I guess I have nothing to say? Well, except maybe that I look TERRIBLY weird in that picture. Halloween a day late? You bet.

Okay, I'm a little optimistic? How unusual.

Goodybe October

October was kinda...eh. I think cause maybe everyone else is like "OH MY GOSH, IT'S FALL!" and then they go dance in the leaves and wear scarfs and we here are still sweating like pigs.

Let's just cherish that beautiful thought for a moment.

(actually, please don't)

I Didn't get all my goals, but I'm still okay with it. Because if I got mad over goals I made FOR FUN, that would be pretty stupid right? Among other things I do.

Read the Bible every night
Read through 2nd Samuel

Try 5 new ethnic foods
Make fall foods
Walk the puppies 3 new places
Write 15 letters
write in my prayer journal 3 times a week
Work on HTML
enjoy volleyball
read 2 books
watch a good movie

It's funny, I managed to watch a movie (a good one at that!) but I didn't get to read books?

Logical error. Good thing I'm taking Logic this semester!

Dear October:

It seems like every month we get busier and busier. And we thought we were home schooled?!?! We're gone nearly every day, sometimes leaving at 8 and not getting back till 7. And honestly, when I am home, all I want to do is watch House Hunters and eat cake. Okay, I want to do that ALL the time.

So here are my goals. I plan on accomplishing many from the backseat of the car.

Read the Bible every night
Read through 2nd Samuel
Try 5 new ethnic foods
Make fall foods
Walk the puppies 3 new places
Write 15 letters
write in my prayer journal 3 times a week

There are a few more, but I can't think of them at the moment.

Do you do monthly goals? If so, good luck!

Goodbye September

I kind of mentally gave myself a few pats on the back as far as September goals go. I mean, mental as in of course I did in real life too. Duh. For some reason, I did really well, and so of course I'll do horribly in October.

Work REALLY hard on Math and Piano (obviously I didn't get this, but I did better!)
Plant Lavender and herbs
Make homemade pasta
Do a few DIY projects
have 1 photo shoot
have fun and work hard at volleyball games
write a haiku
Use up all my stamps
walk the puppies 5 times
Learn more in photo shop
Organize my fonts
Go Social Media FREE for one week
cNow, I did kinda rule out the pasta one. The main reason being that you can buy 2 boxes for 79 cents. Or spend 3 hours making it. I don't know about you, but I'm all over the 79 cents.
And of course, we here are all still awaiting Fall. I haven't asked Siri the weather lately, but I have a feeling we wont be pulling out our boots for another month or two. For those of you who are already freezing, I'm sorry. I'll probably go swimming tomorrow, and I'm not in the polar bear club. I'm normal.

Did I just say that? Never mind.
