Back to School with Lilly!

UGH SCHOOL IS HERE.

I mean, YAY TIME TO BUY NEW THINGS.

It's all in your perspective, my friends!

Okay, with the school year fast approaching (as in, TODAY.) I am gearing up for the most intense year of school ever. I'm joining an umbrella ish-classical-education- torture group and I hear I might die. Multiple times.

Anyway, when I saw planner on the list of supplies you can bet all your broccoli that I began to search high and low for the perfect one. And huzzah! Lilly Pulitzer saved the day. And for those of you curious, bored, or googling....here's a little overview on my little slice of heaven.

I mean, my agenda.

Basically the same thing.

Okay, here's the basic overview for those of you who love facts!

-17 months (including weekly pages, for all 17 months!)
- A Monthly Lilly Print (new month, new print, new you!)
- Spiral bound (which makes everything better.)
-Comes in Small, Large (pictured here) and Jumbo.
- Dates to remember, contacts and note pages (more to doodle on, yay!)

Have I mentioned that it's Lilly Pulitzer? So that means it's automatically perfect!

It's a little pricey at $30, but I figured that since I'm gonna be using an agenda ALL YEAR, I might as well spend a little and actually like it. Plus, I was in a Lilly Pulitzer store in Savannah Georgia and I mean, How could I not?

Moral of the story: I'm so excited to use my Lilly Pulitzer Agenda this year. It's a uniform school ya'll (khaki and polos so hard that Jake from State Farm would be proud!) so I'm doing my best to sneak a little color in wherever I can. Thanks Lilly for helping me out!

Get your agenda HERE!

On being an authority

I think it would be very nice to be an authority, don't you? To have a little something where you just KNOW and people know you know. Maybe not a worldwide authority, but at least in your neighborhood or in your own home. And then what would I be an authority of? Certainly not anything involving wisdom, math skills or any kind of thinking since that is pretty much the last thing I'd ever do.

At this point in my life I'm probably the household authority on pink, notecards and the proper amount of whip cream for cocoa. See, I just KNOW these things! So I guess I am an authortiy of sorts.

Come to me with all your cocoa concerns, I'll be happy to help a girl out!

DUN DUN DUN, September!

And so, it' is September and I'm not sure how I feel about it. But! We are one month closer to fall leaves and Christmas so I guess I can handle it. MAYBE. But, have I told you about drama club? My dear mother decided it was high time I put my drama to good use (I swear, I'm not dramatic at all! Except about candles, grilled cheese and everything else in life. Sheesh!) and so here I am in drama. But then, there is this tiny thing called, oh I don't know, A BRITISH ACCENT, in which we must master and actually USE in public.

So my main goal for September will to be survive, British accents and volleyball, thank you very much. Not like I'm complaining or anything! But, feel free to bring me cupcakes at any point and time, okey dokey?

-WORK ON BRITISH ACCENT
-Not miss any serves in a game
-post one outfit post (i have a feeling i might regret this, but we shall see!)
-play tennis
-get a succulent
-write more letters
- do fun things with friends.

And now, would you like some tea? Because I feel like when homeschoolers try and do British accents, that's all they say. That or some uber romantic line from Pride and Prejudice which I guess is fine by me.

Have a great day, and If it were possible to type in a British accent then I totally would. Cheers!

Graffiti by Yours Truly

I could go ahead and re-name this blog "I HAVE TEN THOUSAND JOURNALS" and for once I really wouldn't be exaggerating that much. As you read here, I have a lot of journals. And recently I added 3 more to the mix.

(Kinda like a real life version of my tumblr)

This one is my art journal. It was supposed to be for school, but if there's one thing mom has learned after homeschooling me for 10 plus years is that I have a way of hijacking things. If I've got a good pen, all surrounding books and papers are subject to graffiti. Although, what graffiti artist writes "I LOVE CUPCAKES" all over everything?

Anyway, my new journal. Filled with quotes and random goodness.

Do you have a journal like this?

PS: Anyone hit their limit with blog photo space? I AM ANNOYED. Sorry. It's okay to rant on ones own blog...right? Just say yes. And while you are talking, please tell me how to fix the problem.

Where I get them

Since I went kind of crazy yesterday (and posted only about journals) I thought I should tell you where I got them all.
Basically, Target!

I know, HUGE shock there.

Most are priced reasonably, and to be honest, they're the cutest! I've looked places like Barnes and Noble and Anthropologie, but I haven't ever found any I loved as much. Problem is, I need to find a new store I like just as much because I own just about every one from Target.

Clearly, I have a big issue on my hands.

Know of any good places to get journals? Let me know!
XOXO, Kryn.

Journal love.

I love writing.

I like sharing my thoughts, opinions and ideas. I like writing things down. I adore making lists. I think snail mail letters are the greatest. I like blogging because its fast. I just plain love communicating.

Today is about journals because....of course, I love them!Apparently I like floral/damask print journals.

I love writing things down. The main reason I do it is so that when I'm a cool adult I can remember things about my childhood. I don't want to forget a single thing. So I write everything down and then some. I also have a prayer journal, bible verse journal (hopefully, you'll see more of this stuff soon) blog/craft journal and journal that mom and I share.

So today because its nearly valentines day, and because that has nothing to do with it, because I love journals and because I love you, you get to peek in my diary! For AHG, I had to keep a journal for 3 months. Of course, I already had a journal (diary, whatever.) so I just copied sentences from it and made a little thingy. (Gettin' real descriptive here!) I'm showing you that.

May 2011
I got my hair cut, I look like someone from 1940. All I need it two barrettes and I am ready to go. Today is the day people think the world is supposed to end. Am I writing this from heaven? Am I sitting on a cloud? Am I hearing harps? Nope. I’m still on my bed,. Hang on - I hear a trumpet…..Just kidding. The drive here was good. Except there was some insane lightning in North Dakota. And then to top it all off, its only 50 degree’s here! You can bet your china teapot I’m not the least bit happy. ____________________________________________________________________ June 2011 This weather is bugging me. My teeth hurt. And we have a fire on June 3rd!! Yes, we are bad. But cold! I had a sleepover with the Nuxoll’s and Jana. We found a man eating chicken and a man who collects cans and eats girls. Yeah, it was spooky. Today, at the farmers market, I found a rock that was painted like a lady bug and had glasses. I named her Beatrice. Right now, I am wearing my dress with rosettes on one shoulder - it has magical powers! But I made bread and each loaf weighed 2 pounds. So, I guess that proved that it does not have magical powers. ______________________________________________________________________ July 2011 Tomorrow is that dreaded dentist appointment. I failed in trying to get Dr. Silcher sick - bummer! (Next day) I actually felt nothing, getting my gums cut was a breeze! Thank ganache for modern medicine. Casey Anthony will be free on Thursday, can you believe it? I am in need of a new purse, so I ordered another Vera Bradley. I hope it comes before camp. I watched Justin Beibers Movie, his fans are pretty scary. Life is more than a boy who sings and wears purple high tops (and who has a rhinestone heart on one shoulder of his jacket!!!!)

So there you go. A little peek into my diary/weird thoughts.

Oh, and did I mention I love journals?
