Happy {Fri}Day:: 4/13

 

This week I've been studying up for testing. I'm actually kind of excited. I was always the "I wanna go to school" homeschooler, mostly because I wanted to have a locker and ride a bus. (and the tissues. Of course.)  So testing is sort of my  yearly little schoolish adventure. And in case you were wondering, I do get giddy when riding buses. It's the deprived homechooler in me.

And one last thing is that I hate this time of year! Everything is ending the same week, and I'm going to have absolutely nothing to do. On second thought, it sounds kind of amazing. I think I could get used to being a lazy person. And by saying that I totally mean I'm not.... I think Ray Comfort would call me a liar. Happy Friday! What things made your week great?
 

Birds?

 It's draw a bird day.  When I was compiling my list, I thought I might as well add this one and give it a shot. Well, I did. And at the same time, I didn't. I didn't really draw birds. I drew morphed little penguin/thumb creatures with mustaches and carrots for noses and crescent moons for wings. And no bird like qualities what so ever. Apparently I missed the bird part of the day. I should have just thrown the whole idea out and gone with draw an alien day.

You'll see what I mean...

So there you have it. And let me tell you, I really wish I could draw! I'm not completely sure how I'll get through life not being able to illustrate the littlest things. I think I'm going to have to rely on my ability to blab to get me through my adult life. Or my superior eavesdropping skills. Both are highly sought after. Or so I'm Told.

UPDATE: Well, apparently I don't count well because I forgot to define #6. And that was the most bird like of all my drawings.

The real thing about Easter

Happy Easter Everyone! As much as I love all the Easter foof (Peeps, Easter Dresses, Egg Hunts, yada yada.) The basic fact of the day is that Jesus is risen. And that is totally the best part. How many other days of the year do we celebrate our savior, creator and our salvation? Not nearly as many as we should. So stop gorging yourself on candy for a second (although I encourage it.) and have a wonderful Easter celebrating what matters most - Jesus. And PS: Enjoy your ham if you are a pig predator.

10 things {the punk}

 For the fun of it, I thought I'd switch it up and do 10 things about Sophie. Yes, I know she is only a lowly canine, but she really is an interesting specimen.

1. She is very impatient and vocal.
2. Her recent favorite pastime is lizard chasing.
3. A delicious treat to her is a paper towel.
4. My bed is her bed.
5. Besides my bed, she naps in the sun, near me, or on a beanbag (she looks hilarious!)
6. Sophie is scared of the vacuum.
7. She has run away once. It was a very bad day.
8. When she wants to get out of my room in the morning, she hops on my bed and starts licking my face.
9. She has an over abundant love for strangers.
10. She ignores cats.

Ended with a bang there didn't we? Cats arn't quite as exciting as Sophie. I'm sorry, but it's true. And a bonus point is that Sophie has been sprayed with perfume before. And I can't exactley plead innocent here. I'm just showing love....right? Absolutely! I think.

Happy {Fri}Day:: 4/6

Hi lovelies!
I don't know why, but today seems like the perfect Friday. I think it's because I am wearing a dress, had my most favorite muffins eva, and the big brother has friends here which means I can use my household famous spying skills. I finally got my room clean, lots of homework is finished and I am making progress on my map world torture map.

I'm am dreaming of summer big time! Do you have any big summer plans? I'm doing swim team, maybe volleyball camp and hopefully babysitting, bowling and lots and lots of Popsicle eating. When you have orange cream Popsicles, you know it's summer. I've also decided that I need to build arm muscles because at the moment, I have zero. I can't even pretend to do a push up. A girl one. I know I'm way to young to use the "I'm old " excuse, but I'm going to either a.) get some muscle or b.) find good excuses. I think A will work better in the long run, but it will be tough. (And I reserve the right to take back everything I've said about building arm muscles. I'm kind of lazy, sheesh.)

April Goals

I decided to try monthly goals simply to keep me busy. I love being busy and when I have stuff mapped out I am much more productive than when I freestyle. Basically, there will be only personal goals, but if I had a business or did anything else awesome, there would be other categories.

Personal Goals:
Clean the Pie Safe
Run more (work out, whatever.)
Practice drawing
Spend more time reading/studying the bible
Memorize verses
Finish my polka dot dress
10 minute pick up in my room each day
Take the puppies out every morning, no complaining
Get up earlier
Make French toast.

Um,'I've been wanting French toast? See the top part of this post to understand why French toast makes it on my personal goal list. And if I clean the pie safe, it might just be a miracle. And you might just hear about it.

April is Awesome

 I am so excited for April!! I don't really know why, but I am. I think it might be because school ends and because summer is almost here. I know I just got over telling you how magical spring is and blah blah, but am already ready for summer. I'll probably be sharing the glories of fall in July. My internal calendar is only slightly odd. Did you know that in the summer I am addicted to orange cream Popsicle's? Well one summer some friends cam to visit us and we ate orange cream Popsicle. ALL the time (and watched return of the jedi 8 times!), so now it just seems like something you should always eat in summer.

  And every one knows, today is April fools. I, personally, don't get the all the excitement. I mean, if you have a great joke to play one someone, awesome. But if not, you spend the entire day thinking up lame punk ideas that fail. It's kind of a sad day for the rest of us because we wish we could all think up something cool. So generally, I don't participate in April Fools Day Festivities. Although one time I played a great joke on Kj. I tied a rubber band around the sprayer (for lack of a better term) on the sink and so when he went to wash his hands he got sprayed all over. It was fantastic. Until he pointed it at me and I got soaked
