Today was so 70's. I'll tell you why. First of all, I went to get my haircut. I got my bangs done, and they are just what I wanted. I can pull them over to make full bangs, I look like I'm straight from the 70's. Then Mom and I went to Goodwill to look for a costume for me for my party. We found the greatest outfits. Goodwill has serious Hippie stuff. On the way home, we listened to the 70's channel on Sirius. They played the Bee Gee's, Jan and Dean, and mom and I did an acapella version of "I'm leaving on a jet plane." It was so wonderful. And THEN, I got my 60's-70's style book from the library!! Now I am fully aware of what was hip and what was not in the 60's and 70's. I feel so informed. That may seem like it has nothing to do with today's holiday, but it actually does! The 70's were weird, but they were wonderful. They were wonderful, but really, very weird. The 70's and Wonderful Weirdo's day go hand in hand. And that my friends, is why today was so great.
Sincerely,
No wonder today was good, I wore Pink!
PS: Someone else requested my dynamic acting skills, this time I'll be Clifford at the library. Thankfully, its only for kids ages 4-7. Or so I hope.
Pardon
Pardon me for not putting up today's holiday. In my opinion, it is rather lame. I couldn't find any other thing to celebrate, so we are stuck pardoning today.
My primitve painting is so primitive. It is just divine. It is this lovely red house, with a brown streak down one side, and a grassy field. It's a fall scene, but I didn't have time at Emily's to finish the trees. But, it is very, very, very, primitive! I am even making childish art look childish. Meanwhile, Emily is blending colors and creating this lovely Paul Cezzaro print, with two lovely pears. I have a house with a field. I really love art, but as far as doing it myself, I despise it.
With that, I finish. Please pardon me for having nothing to say on the subject of pardoning.
Sincerely,
I'll leave art up to the professionals

Feelin' the love
Love is a relative term. I tend to use it too strongly. I either love or hate stuff. Today I said, "I hate Subway." which is actually not the case. It's just not my favorite. So if I say I hate it, I probably sort of like it. If I really hate it, you'll know. I should probably write a users guide for myself and let people read it so they are not entirely confused when they talk to me.
My Punk loves me. She showed me some love today by snuggling with me when I was studying my map of France. It's thundering now, and she is sitting right beside me. So devoted! And also scared.
As for Pastrami day, they had Subway sandwiches at class! I totally could have had pastrami and celebrated big time. I absolutely used to hate pastrami (really, really hate.) Once, mom was out of town, and dad made me a pastrami sandwich with MAYO, and I threw up and had to watch KJ scarf down all the Cheetos's we were supposed to share. It is one of my most terrible memories. But over the years, my taste buds have expanded, and I've come to love it (Translation: I like Pastrami.) I am not a picky eater in the least, but I couldn't do pastrami. But, now I can.
Tonight I'm going to one of my BFF's to study. We are working on a house hunters video. That is serious study worthy work. For AHG, we have to paint a picture from a certain type of art. I found this artist whose work I really liked. I asked the teacher what style it was. Her reply: Primitive. Child Like. I was at first very sad that I chose such primitive art, but then I realized it was easier for me! I am thrilled now. Long live primitive art!
Sincerely,
I'll like mayo when pigs fly.

Do it! Do it!
I love chanting "Do it!" to people. Ok wait.....I never do, but I always secretly want too. If (Or I should say, when) I participate in a flash mob, chanting "do it!" will most certainly be part of the routine. Or I will start doing it any way.
I did so much today! First, I went to economies, and realized I had not done the homework because I had not seen or heard of the assignment. I have to do that. In Greek, I learned that it is confusing. I had the general idea, but this week the fact that it was so unclear was so clear. Did that make any sense? Maybe I need to explain. DO IT! DO IT!
Okay, I'll stop now.
By the way, I am selling 2012 Chick-Fil-A calenders for AHG. If you are interested in one, talk to me. They are $6. And, may I suggest in the spirit of today's holiday, you do it? Thank you. I know you will. (PS: My most wonderful friend Emily is also selling them. There might be a little rivalry, but we both promise to be nice and share customers, don't we?)
Sincerely,
Its all Greek to me.

Not on the menu
Today, Cheese Pizza was not on the menu. I love cheese pizza. When the last day of my life rolls around, I want to be surrounded by cheesy pizza, cupcakes and the people I love. And maybe a potato somewhere in the mix. I love potato too. We had an extra nice dinner tonight because we had a guest! We did not know our guest was coming, but she came, and she stayed. We had Rice and garlic pickle and Raita! I love Raita. The day before the last day of my life I will have fried chicken and Rita. Generally people don't mix cuisines so much, but I never go by the rules.
As for a Kodak Moment....
I think this will suffice.
And this? Another amazing Kodak Moment.
Elise will be going to college next year. College! This is so sad. Good news, she is probably going to MSU. I fully intend to invade her dorm during the year and impress her roommates with my superior muffin making skills. We've already planned this. They will swoon and wish I'd never leave. They'll beg for my recipe. They'll cry when I won't tell them. And then, they'll forget all about it. It's just how college kids are.
And, I've begun planning my epic 14th party. May I hint, you might want to brush up on the 70's.
Sincerely,
Keeping the recipe secret
PS: Anyone watch P.W Saturday???

Sky high
Thankfully, the reason I didn't write wasn't that I was too busy watching heads roll. I decided to steer clear of any beheading, as I prefer my head attached to my body. I'm sure my feelings are mutual. Heads have their place.
I really wanted to get my ears pierced yesterday, but I didn't. Late May, my parents gave me the okay for getting my ears pierced. But we've never gotten around to doing it, so Peirce your Ears day was so fitting. The celebration might commence today. My mom has this really strange notion that I have really cute ears. I don't understand it. I hate more than one hole. I hate cartilage piercings. I really want pearl earnings. and I figured out my birthday is only 90 days away!
Okay, now to today's main event(s): I really love skyscrapers. I don't really have anything more to say on the subject other than, I love them and I want to live in them.
This was the cutest building in all Chicago. And there is that pesky stranger again! And seriously? A pink shirt?
This picture is so great, Uncle Sam and the city!
Sincerely,
My ears are nor-mal.
PS: Happy Birthday Uncle Sam!

No Rhyme...Or Reason
Wasn't I just telling you the other day that my life has no rhyme or reason to it?Its the truth. Sure, I have structured things and people in my life. But that is where things get complicated. I do love structure just as much as the next girl, but at the same time I really hate it. So does my life have rhyme but no reason? Or vice versa? I have no idea.
The big celebration of the day is that it is 4:28 and I am still in my pajama's. I know you are envious. This is not very normal, but 12:00 is not that unusual. I'm going to the gym in a few hours, which I'm pleased with because I haven't been able to go since my foot/dumb debacle. But that does mean I have to get dressed. Goodbye no rhyme or reason. I love you.
Sincerely,
Who says you can't go to the gym in your pajamas?
PS:
Maybe I'm taking feet pictures too far? My foot, post surgery. I'm telling you, the inside is purple.
