Let the celebration commence

This girl is a little older today.

And look who came to my party! These little princesses! I was so happy to have them.

Oh, and this little rug rat. You're always welcome.

I got the greatest gifts. Thank you wonderful family! I loved everything.

I couldn't get it open.
So much to add to my collection.

Now, I have 14 attendees attending my party and I am already hearing about groovy boots and tye dye . I am going shopping tomorrow to help Emily find the perfect garb.

Also, tomorrow I go out for birthday breakfast with dad. It is one of our greatest traditions. Every year, KJ and I pick a restaurant to go to with dad for breakfast. It's not always on our birthdays, but we strive to go very near it.

Happy Thursday chickabidies. Crafts come tomorrow - woot woot. :)

Wonderfuly weird

Today was so 70's. I'll tell you why. First of all, I went to get my haircut. I got my bangs done, and they are just what I wanted. I can pull them over to make full bangs, I look like I'm straight from the 70's. Then Mom and I went to Goodwill to look for a costume for me for my party. We found the greatest outfits. Goodwill has serious Hippie stuff. On the way home, we listened to the 70's channel on Sirius. They played the Bee Gee's, Jan and Dean, and mom and I did an acapella version of "I'm leaving on a jet plane." It was so wonderful. And THEN, I got my 60's-70's style book from the library!! Now I am fully aware of what was hip and what was not in the 60's and 70's. I feel so informed. That may seem like it has nothing to do with today's holiday, but it actually does! The 70's were weird, but they were wonderful. They were wonderful, but really, very weird. The 70's and Wonderful Weirdo's day go hand in hand. And that my friends, is why today was so great.

Sincerely,
No wonder today was good, I wore Pink!

PS: Someone else requested my dynamic acting skills, this time I'll be Clifford at the library. Thankfully, its only for kids ages 4-7. Or so I hope.

Just because....

Today's holiday is very carefree. Sort of like the 70's. So I think that means I should don some flare pants and a leather fringe jacket and head down to the local hippie fest. Anyone want to join me?You should probably wear something like this. Hippies are very particular about people not misinterpreting their carefree style. It's an art. Headbands are excepted.

What I love about today is that there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to it. That kind of echo's my life because I tend to ditch rhyme and reason if at all possible. Logic is not one of my things. So basically today I could do anything I wanted. I didn't have to try and sneak something nasty in my diet. I didn't need do to any research or look up important stuff. So just because... I am going to tell you what I did today.

Side note: I have a very sweet friend, who whenever I ask her what she did that day always replies, "Well, I got up at about 8:30. And then I brushed my teeth. Then Mom told me I had to go feed the Animals, my horse was really thirsty after all. And when I was there, I saw a fly on her, so I had to shoo it off...." It kind of goes on for a while which is just what I love about her because she's so sweet, and I listen more and talk less. Something I don't engage in too often. Anyway, I promise not to go into too lengthy detail. But in case you were wondering, I have brushed my teeth.

I got up.
I ate a muffin.
I watched Pioneer Woman.
I cleaned my room.
I cleaned my room.
I cleaned my room. (This goes on for a while.)
I watched church.
I ate chips.
I am blogging now.

Such a great re-cap! I forgot to mention that somewhere in between all the cleaning my rooms, my punk threw up, So I had to clean that up as well.

Pioneer Woman
was pretty good. I was mostly watching through my fingers because whenever anyone said anything it sounded like "Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm on Food Network! I need to be calm and normal and not make it look like these boots and tight jeans are actually not as uncomfortable as they look." They probably were not thinking any of these things, but I was. They were probably all thinking about how cool it was, and they all probably forgot that the boots and jeans were really uncomfortable and that they were eating ten pounds of butter. I'm serious about the butter. I'm almost positive Mrs. W fainted because even I was thinking they would all keel over at any second due to mass amounts of butter intake. I guess the work that comes with a country life allows some spare room for some butter. Or a lot.

So there you have it. All of this just because. All of my random musings I've wanted to post, but never had the appropriate day to do it. I'm so thankful for today. Just because.

Sincerely,
I think I'd be scared if I met a real hippie.

PS:
They are making chocolate sheet cake! Please invite me over. Remember Pioneer Day? I think so.

PPS: Mixer winners not announced. She's still recovering from all that butter.
