Impatiently waiting

Right now, I'm waiting for my new camera battery to charge. It takes 2 hours.

As soon as it finishes, I will post a tutorial (hopefully) on how to make those rolled paper flowers since some people were having trouble with them.

Oh yes, and I went to goodwill. Emily says I need this dress. I'm not totally sure why.

Wonderfuly weird

Today was so 70's. I'll tell you why. First of all, I went to get my haircut. I got my bangs done, and they are just what I wanted. I can pull them over to make full bangs, I look like I'm straight from the 70's. Then Mom and I went to Goodwill to look for a costume for me for my party. We found the greatest outfits. Goodwill has serious Hippie stuff. On the way home, we listened to the 70's channel on Sirius. They played the Bee Gee's, Jan and Dean, and mom and I did an acapella version of "I'm leaving on a jet plane." It was so wonderful. And THEN, I got my 60's-70's style book from the library!! Now I am fully aware of what was hip and what was not in the 60's and 70's. I feel so informed. That may seem like it has nothing to do with today's holiday, but it actually does! The 70's were weird, but they were wonderful. They were wonderful, but really, very weird. The 70's and Wonderful Weirdo's day go hand in hand. And that my friends, is why today was so great.

Sincerely,
No wonder today was good, I wore Pink!

PS: Someone else requested my dynamic acting skills, this time I'll be Clifford at the library. Thankfully, its only for kids ages 4-7. Or so I hope.

Thrifty.

Being thrifty is not my thing. I prefer to spend more and get a brand. Its really quite terrible, but its a habit I can't break. But today I went to a local thrift store and shopped like a pro. I was armed with my cross body, so I knew things would be good. The only things I liked were the teacups, wineglasses and a napkin holder. I don't really have use for any of those things at the moment, so I didn't buy anything. But it was still nice being thrifty. Mom and I both got lost in the process of our thriftyness. We were so wrapped up in looking at candles and locating Mrs. W's Item we were getting, that we both totally got lost and took us quite awhile to locate one another. Exciting things happen in thrift stores folks, beware.

I am hoping to have a fabulous cupcake celebration tomorrow. My dad happens to be near D.C and D.C Happens to have fabulous cupcake shops. Also, I found out that 2 blocks from where I saw Johnny, there was a Sprinkles store. I am so mad I was so oblivious.

Sincerely,
I repeat: Thriftyness is not in my genes.
