Almost time

Almost December - woot woot! (my trademark.) In my brain it's already December. The calender is being a little slow - I'm waiting for it to catch up.

Now, with Christmas coming, everyone is getting in their Red and green mode. I refuse to be drawn in! I personally despise Red, green and gold Christmas stuff. Why does Christmas have to be limited to those boring colors, I ask. If you have a out of this world reason, tell me. If not, no green here and red is going on a serious diet. I'm okay with red most times. But not always.

This is so cute. Please notice that there is a way to convey Christmas without smothering everything in Red and Green. I strive for pink perfection this year.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You all should be pretty confused by this thing here...
But I will reveal soon! I love it. It's Christmasy, and pink. Keep guessing, you'll stumble on the answer sooner or later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ugh, I really want this. Give me liberty...or lip gloss.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My friend sent me this. I really wish I was cool enough to come up with something like this by myself.
"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing.
I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick.
I believe in pink. I believe that loving is the best calorie burner.
I believe in kissing. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls.
I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."~Audrey Hepburn
Although, I probably wouldn't have said it as well as Audrey. I agree %100.
Haul me off to jail....
I've trespassed. Yes sir, I did. Maybe If I were a smart criminal, I'd refrain from posting about it on my blog. But it makes a great Newvember (#26), so you get to hear all about it.
For my birthday, dad got me a new tennis racket (First person to guess what color it is might win a prize!) and so we went off to play. Unfortunately we could only find three balls and unfortunately I am a very enthusiastic tennis player.
So being my uber enthusiastic self, I hit the ball over the 13 foot high fence. And into a restricted area.
So I climbed the fence into the restricted city property, going right past all the NO TRESPASSING signs. I rescued 10 balls from their dirty, sandy grave. I was a hero. So I guess we can say that someone who trespasses is a hero?
In this case, you bet!
Unique talent discoverd!
I wasn't planning on celebrating today, I don't really have any unique talents. Well, I can talk a lot faster than most people, but I'm not really sure if that falls into the talent category. I can't wink. Rolling my tongue is not an option. I can't move my fingers in weird ways.
BUT! today I discovered I can balance a spoon on my nose! Is that unique or what?!?!?! Maybe every one else thinks that is so old, but it's totally new to me so I am a huge fan. Dad was trying to have a serious Thanksgiving conversation, and there I am balancing my spoon on my nose.
Seriously Awesome.
So that is my latest and greatest new talent and also Newvember #24. And by the way, we are not very formal around this joint. I was in my pajamas when we had our feast. That's how I like things.
Sincerely,
Rockin' the silver spoon.
PS: Brooke can rock the silver spoon too!
It just so happens....
...That a butterfly came into our porch.
It just so happens that it was a beautiful butterfly.And it just so happens that it is Beautiful Day.
It really was a beautiful day today.
I weighed my purse
I think we should have a "guess how much my purse weighs contest"! Wouldn't that be so great? But since there are only about 10 people who read this blog, the contest would be kind of lame.
So! I just might as well tell you the whole story.
Yesterday, or whatever day Thursday was, I was at Publix. Now, everyone knows that Publix has large scales in the entryway . Personally, I think it is a bad idea for Publix. Because if everyone who came in weighed themselves, they'd probably come out with a lot less food.
But anyway, I weighed myself. I was kind of like "Huh??" and then I got of. But then! The light bulb went off. How about getting on without my purse? It was a great moment for all mankind. And you know what, my purse weighs 5 stinkin' pounds!
The moral of the story is you should always, always, take off your purse when you weigh yourself in the middle of the entry way at Publix.
End of story.
Newvember #18: My purse needs to diet.
It aint easy
Being a ballerina always sounded so magical to me when I was a little girl.
And maybe when I was 11.
But anyway...ballerina's are graceful and cute and they have pink tutu's which is pretty awesome. And pink shoes that clank of the floor. And pink tights! They love pink just as much as I do.
Today I watched a video of my old ballet performance. Ahem.
I don't think I'll ever be a prima ballerina. Being graceful is absolutely not in my bones. The whole thing was pretty hilarious. None of us could really dance. We just sort of waved our arms around in different ways and moved our legs.
But we all had pink shoes and pink tights so it was still fairly awesome.
Newvember #15 Ballerinaisum is for the pro's.
Voluntary Vacuuming.
I volunteered to vacuum. And you thought you'd never see the day! Ha!
I have previously hated vacuuming. The whole idea of lugging it out, plugging it in, dragging it across the room, was very unpleasing to me.
BUT! We got a new vacuum. My feelings have changed most dramatically. Lugging it out is no more. Goodness gravy, that thing has wheels! Plugging it is, it seems so easy now. And the dragging, gone! We waltz around the room. I am serious, I can't even get the vacuum to stop moving. It just loves vacuuming.
Now I'm talking about our vacuum like he's a person and he's a he.
I think I'll name him. I like Geronimo.
So the whole point is, I volunteered to vacuum. And I named our vacuum Geronimo.
Newvember #14: Voluntary Vacuuming.
Camping, Beans and other matters
I got in a bunch of Newvember stuff this weekend. I went camping with Emily! Camping is a relative term, we camped in Emily's bedroom. And I'm totally okay with that.
Newvember # 11. Sleep with the window open.
When we we were at the campsite, everyone was saying how wise and smart we were because we were not staying outside in the freezing weather.
BUT! During the night, Emily and I were absolutely frozen. When we woke up, we realized the window had been open all night. We were not so wise after all.
Serious smudge on my camera lens.The cheese it tree!
Newvember # 12: Embrace my inner bean.
All the Pipa's had to do a skit on the three sisters. The sisters are corn, beans and squash. I was the bean. I had to intertwine myself around another poor girl. I thought it was wonderful.
She didn't.
But I embraced my inner bean. And that's #12
We are kind of awesome.
Fashion rule: never do khaki and ugg boots.
Newvember # 13 NAP!
I was so sleepy from all my fun this weekend. Today I went up to study Greek. And took a really immense nap instead. I'm usually not one for naps, but today it was terrific! And getting out of Greek, at least for the time being, its really terrific.
Change of Direction
My sleep style has had a drastic change.
I switched directions. I now sleep with my head at the food of my bed.
Or my head at the head of my bed and my feet at the foot.
Somewhere in there, I changed directions.
Newvember #4: Change of Direction
New(vember) Changes
You've noticed a few changes. First of all, the font that you are reading is different! It was kind of an accident. But turns out, I rather like it. Second, I deleted the "About this Blog" page. I figured people don't need a page explaining my blog - they could just read it. That was a pretty epic thought.
So these are my New(vember) changes. Enjoy!
Civil Servanthood 101
Its very easy being a civil servant. I tried it out this afternoon. I was at the Farmers Market and I noticed the all the trash around. I despise it when people throw cans and wrappers out their windows. I've only thrown out a candy wrapper once, and then I felt so guilty I went and picked it up. I'm just a dear like that.
And so I picked up some trash. But there was a creepy guy by the trash can, so I put it in my pocket. Not the most sanitary thing ever. Nevertheless, I continued being a civil servant at the Bank. I served very well today. And that is Newvember #3, my friends.
Newvember #3: Being a Civil Servant.
#2 Newvember
This one is a phenomenon.
This will NEVER happen again.
But so fitting that it happened during my Newvember thingamajig.
#2: I WENT WITHOUT PERFUME TODAY.
I know caps is the rudest way to write, but this is all-cap worthy. I don't ever go without perfume. But I forgot today! It is the most most most most terrible thing.
Don't worry. This wont happen again.
#1 Newvember
I am taking care of Guinea pigs for my best friend while she is off having a marvelous time in another state with SNOW.
So I'm watching her piggies. They are new to me. I like piggies very much.
And turns out, so do the puppies. And the piggies like the puppies. Whenever the pups come up to the pigs cage, the piggie's stand on the side and rub noses with the puppies. And they do there little squeak/oink thing. It too cute.
1# Newvember: Guinea Pigs
Newvember!
It's November, and its time for a new background! Are you in love with the bokeh like I am? I love all the fall colors.
So I am officially pronouncing it NEWvember. I am going to try to do alot of new things this month. What are you going to do this Newvember?
