So this is how we look....

Hear ye! Hear Ye! Apparently, this is how Miss (un)Photogenic looks in front of a camera of decent stature. Notice Miss (un)Photogenic's flashy and vibrant rubber bands, such a style statement! So fashion forward...!

ANYWAY,

KJ got his Senior pictures taken a few weeks ago and I tagged along. More like I followed at an almost creepy distance and stalked. But! I wound up getting my picture taken so I guess my stalking proved worthwhile. FINALLY. I've only been waiting 14.6 years to have my hard work pay off.

What? You're a stalker too??! Great! We're practically twins. Except, maybe your rubber bands arent quite so flashy? Join the club, it's rad.

ps: my dress is from Target.

HEY MAY! and goals.

Mondays, I am your friend. Maybe even your BFF??! Yesss.

I feel like Mondays get a bad wrap....why!? I for one actually do not enjoy weekends. I actually like having things to do and stuff to accomplish, and weekends are just kinda blah. So when Monday shows up I'm dancing and cheering.

Like today for example, I was dancing in the diaper aisle at Walgreens.
THREE CHEERS FOR MONDAYS!

Now that we've got that foofoo stuff out of the way - it's time to get straight to it: goals my friends, goals! You love Mondays too right....?

MAY GOALS:
-paint once a week
-write once a week
-walk new places
-make ice cream!
-order pictures

Whatcha been up too lately? Catch ya later!

Fauxgrams for a cold and rainy Wednesday.

Also known as the most discombobulated post title ever.

But seriously! Isn't saying faux so fun?! It makes a girl feel like a fancy lady , one who wears a fur stole and a flapper dress with Mary Jane's, frolicking around New York City with her Yorkie in tow.

I said faux a lot today and unfortunately I didn't feel anything like that. No Yorkie, no fur, no NYC. More like rain and yoga pants and brillo pad pups. Faux real!

But anyway, here are my fauxgrams, meaning this is what my instagram would be full of if I was hip enough to have one. I got hips alright, but not insta hips. Totally different things I imagine.

Happy Wednesday to you!

For the love of cacti...

Some gawk at boys and shoes. Some coo at babies. Some cheer for outstanding performances.

And some do all these for cactuses. And by some, I mostly mean me.

Maybe it's because Arizona is my one true love or maybe it's because it's PINK (probably) or maybe it's because 2 years ago I finally figured out that cactuses don't attack you with prickles, but whatever it is, I LOVE CACTUSES.

Also, I giggle and gawk and reassure them they're the bees knees about every 3 seconds. Those poor little cacti, such sensitive souls. They need a boatload of affirmation. Or I just like blubbering.
 Probably not that.

Here's to a plant that loves black thumbs! Amen Amen!

PS: if I spelled cactus wrong, I'm sorry. My mother was napping and spellcheck is having a bad day.

The Stylish Flamingo

This was going to be a post about how I am obsessed with changing my bulletin board, but after seeing these photos I decided that we needed to talk about flamingo's wearing scarves.

I mean, doesn't everyone?!?

After weeks of wanting to paint it and never doing it it, I decided to give my feathered friend a try. And while this is most certainly not Louvre quality, it definitely deserves to be displayed on my  beloved bulletin board. Naturally, only the finest and most stylish flamingos belong there.

And that concludes our wildly exciting chat about flamingos with scarves. Next session we'll be discussing the importance of frogs with fairy wings. Don't miss it!

Things about stuff

(my official end  of the school year photo, see 2012 here.)

helloooooooooooooooooooooo!

Wow. Okay, for the record I am not in preschool although my over use over exclamation marks and unnecessary letters might not help me prove my point. Can preschoolers even type? Sheesh. Kids these days! Back in my day, we had to....

My point is that TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL and therefore I am very hyper/excited/sad because now I will probably wear gym shorts until School next year. And wearing gym shorts and being very un-fit is kinda a weird deal, if you ask me. And also, these are my goals for the weeks. So I don't end up wearing gym shorts and eating Cheetos and watching sponge bob for the rest of my life....

When do you finish school? Happy day to all you ladies!

Back from Chicago town

For the record, April in Chicago is ABSOLUTELY FREEZING! I come from a land where we wear shorts and tank tops every day, not because we like it, but because we have too. And so here I come to Chicago, my one true city love, in a short skirt and um, it was snowing?

Thankfully I packed a pair of tights, and so after spending 20 minutes trying to get them on in the airport  bathroom (somehow at that point I seemed very uncoordinated), I was wearing stripes, bows and floral print. So. Doggone. Stylin'.

In other words, Chicago is a very nice city which makes you feel like a very unfashionable human. Amen.
