KRYN COLLECTS NAPKINS

Ahem!

I seem to go through odd phases. Except horses! Isn't that funny? Well, maybe not funny, but can you think of an 11 year old girl who hasn't asked for a horse for Christmas? I mean really. And she's probably thinking "I'll keep it in my bedroom and name it Daisy! And then we can watch horse movies together and we can share popcorn." Sounds pretty dreamy....to you.

There was the American Girl phase, the buildabears, the cupcakes, the cake pops, the journals, the note cards, the stamps...the pasta. You should see my shaped pasta collection! It's quite astounding really! It really belongs in a museum, but people just don't appreciate art as much as they should. Duhhh, pasta!!! Obviously right up there with Van Gogh and them peeps.

But now, to the napkins! I once read on a blog that you should collect cute napkins whenever you see them, and since then I have been on a mission to obtain the world's cutest napkins. Thankfully Target and Ikea seem to take great pride in contributing to the cutest napkin market, thus the reason my collection has been doubling in size. It's like magic, napkin magic.

The other interesting fact is that I am a terrible party thrower. Parties give me the willies. And I mean it in the nicest way possible. But at the same time, it's true! And throwing parties? I'd probably rather wear pajamas in public.

Maybe.

So, my napkin collection will probably be for the sole purpose of taking photos, which is fine by me. But please, don't tell my mother, since she's sponsoring this napkin extravaganza.

Ta-Da! Look at those babes! Perfect for wiping cookie crumbs or chocolate milk mustaches. Too hoity for killing bugs. My kind of napkins.

And you? What are you collecting slash obsessing over as of late? Come on, you must share. After all, I've been blabbing about napkins for a very long time....

and the sad part is that I could probably go on for a whole lot longer!

New york CITAY!

Welcome to another installment of  "How to pronounce with Kryn!" Cue the awkward clapping theme song and grab a family in matching outfits, and we've got ourselves a game show fit for kings!

Of what, I'm not sure though.

So let's talk New York City. Actually, scratch that. It's New York CITAY! This one I actually didn't totally make up, so let's just hope it's not copyrighted or something. Do I look like a criminal to you? I mean, I cried when I broke my makeup....so devious. Back to the CITAY (it's just so fun to say!) It's actually loosely or kind of totally based of a Pace commercial. But we've been saying it for so long now that it's practically a family tradition.

'Cause every one has a family tradition based on a salsa commercial. EVERYONE.

Cue the awkward clapping music, it's time for a commercial break! (But of course, don't touch that dial, there is plenty more on channel CHEESE!)
▲▲ parks are so refreshing in the city. And everyone else thinks so to! (We went to Central Park and Battery Park, the latter with a nice view of Miss Liberty!)
▲▲ contemplating life's most difficult decisions....stripes or polka dots?

▲▲ Of course, Taxi pictures! My guess, but if you looked at NYC from above, it would be 99.99999 (just to be safe!) perfect yellow. Give or take.
▲▲ Ah, Time Square! The largest public place showcasing the depravity of man! Oh, the joy! More on this later.
.
▲▲ Alligator attack! Rawr. Or something!

Have you ever been to New York? If so, what was your favorite thing about it? One more post about NY, and then I promise I'll shut my trap forever! Or until we go again, whichever comes first!

Earth Cracking

I'm getting smarter. It may take a long, long, long time, but I'm getting there! Today, I made a few semi earth shattering discoveries. We could just leave it at earth cracking. The biggest earth cracking moment for me was (along time ago) When I was in the bathroom in a public building and figured out that Kanga and Roo  makes Kangaroo. (You know, from Pooh?)  I was so happy I figured it out I just started shouting "Kanga and Roo...Kangaroo!" It was so totally earth cracking. I didn't do anything that weird in public today ( and I'd hope so considering I'm  wearing tie dye - eek!) But anyway....my earth cracking discoveries:

  • That KJ should always be around when I need the Vacuum brought upstairs.
  • That I wish I could eat cookies all day long,
  • That helium makes balloons float.
  • That I really love being organized.
By the time I figure everything out, the world will be in a million pieces. And in case you were wondering I really didn't know that about helium.(I actually found that out a few weeks ago, but it was so funny I had to include it.) I don't know how or why I missed that in preschool, but apparently I did. I was probably too busy solving the world hardest math problems and painting mini Mona Lisa's.

Or I wasn't paying attention. But I'm positive it wasn't that.

Dug

Today in Church, I drew a Dug. What's a dug? It's a duck/dog mix. And maybe its partly alien, because he's pretty creepy.

First I was trying to draw a man with a mustache. But it didn't work out so I made it a dog head. But I thought maybe it was more duck-ish so I made the body duck like. Now I'm not really sure what it is at all.

But one thing I do know is that I'm not much of an artist.

What are your church doodles? Or am I the only teenager who doodles??
