Being thrifty is not my thing. I prefer to spend more and get a brand. Its really quite terrible, but its a habit I can't break. But today I went to a local thrift store and shopped like a pro. I was armed with my cross body, so I knew things would be good. The only things I liked were the teacups, wineglasses and a napkin holder. I don't really have use for any of those things at the moment, so I didn't buy anything. But it was still nice being thrifty. Mom and I both got lost in the process of our thriftyness. We were so wrapped up in looking at candles and locating Mrs. W's Item we were getting, that we both totally got lost and took us quite awhile to locate one another. Exciting things happen in thrift stores folks, beware.
I am hoping to have a fabulous cupcake celebration tomorrow. My dad happens to be near D.C and D.C Happens to have fabulous cupcake shops. Also, I found out that 2 blocks from where I saw Johnny, there was a Sprinkles store. I am so mad I was so oblivious.
Sincerely,
I repeat: Thriftyness is not in my genes.

Victory!
Today is a great and fabulous day to celebrate, because we are finally free from the car. Victory! I think its V.E. day actually, but who cares. Getting out of a car is a good enough reason to have a big celebration! So I bought a candle. Is that good enough? It was a watermelon candle, which happens to be the yummiest flavor. I mean scent. We also celebrated the beginning of school by going shopping for school supplies. But I forgot my tissues so it was really not a success.
View from the Willis Tower. That's lake Michigan. Its rather large.
I'm telling you, I do love feet pictures. But I think that it is actually fairly appropriate when you are 103 stories up.
Taxi and Stranger. I have a few pictures with this pesky stranger in them.
Clearly, gift shops are the greatest.
And last but not least, My lovely rendition of Johnny. A make up for art appreciation day because I am a lame blogger who missed it? I think this will be sufficient.
Sincerely,
Johnny might just beat J.B.
On the Sky Deck. Or I guess in it. Whatever. That's me and mom and KJ 103 stories up, standing over Chicago on Plexiglas. Awesomeness.
The Sky Deck. Its creepy. And awesome. And alot of other things.
Passing time in South Dakota. I look like Nancy Pelosi. Ouch.
Sincerely,
Johnny might just beat J.B.
In the middle.
That's actually not an entirely true statement because I am not in the middle or the middle child. I classify myself as a middle child because I have some of those characteristics, but technically I am the youngest. I don't get technical too often. So today I am definitely the middle child. Here is a conversation that happened on KJ's birthday:
Me: First borns are more likley to be CEO's.
Dad: Well, second borns are more likley to be homeless.
At this point I start crying because I do not want to be homless. And everyone is laughing.
Today I was in Chicago. Today, I loved being Chicago. We went to the 103 floor of the 2illis Tower and went on the sky deck. It was pretty awesome. And slightley scary. I took about ten thousand pictures, so as soon as I get home I will update you. (I just notected I said homless instead of Homeless. Is bad spelling a side affect of homelessness? I hope not.)
I went to the American Girl store just for kicks, and while I was there I met someone famous. Ok, so I saw him and I still dont know who he is, but everyone else seemed to think he was the best thing ever. I mean he had pink on, come on Johnny!! (thats his real name.)So basically Mom and I were standing on Michigan Ave when Johnny walks by with two bodyguards. All the girls around us were freaking out. I was sort of freaking out because I was confused about everyone else freaking out. They were all chasing after him and then he turned and looked at me. (cue the dreamy music.) And then I was laughing because he was so retarded and we went on our way trying to figure out who Johnny was. That my friends, is a true story.
So in short, I went on the sky deck, walked around in a big city, didn't get my purse stolen and I still dont know who Johnny is.
Sincerely,
I heart Chicago.
Ps: there are an insane amount of typo's in this post. I cant fix them on this silly phone. I meant the Willis tower, in case you were wondering.
