Blackberry Ice Cream

I know I talked about this yesterday, but since it was on my goals and summer list, I'd thought I'd share more. Feel free to forgo this post, if your heart desires. But I suggest you stick around for the recipe for this ice cream. Or at least where you can get it. I'm feeling lazy and don't want to type the whole thing.

Number one was to make ice cream. I'm sure you needed me to tell you that! I'm generally not one for ice cream. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But I'd rather have a baked good. So when I DO have ice cream, I have cookie dough or cake batter. I'm fairly predictable.

But! I totally switched it up and made blackberry.

And oh my goodness.

It will knock your socks off.

I got the recipe from this book, which happens to have an adorable cover which totally ups the awesomeness. I was seriously tempted by the salted caramel too. And the cookies and cream. Of course.

But the blackberry. It's sweet and delicious and a very lovely shade. That's part of why I made blackberry. The compote you put in tastes sooo good, I was having trouble not drinking it. Seriously, make this ice cream. Your life will be (almost) complete.

And good news, remember yesterday I said it was more soupy? Well, I actually didn't but it was. Over night, it hardened up and is REAL ice cream. I should have taken more pictures, it looks quite different than the soppy mess above. (soppy messes can still taste amazing mind you.)

Also, I added the follower bar to the side of my blog. I'd love it if you'd follow. But I'll love you if you don't.

Have you ever made ice cream?

Much love, Kryn.

Deja vu??

So I'm not quite certain, but I do believe that June 2nd was International Dinosaur day and some Ice cream celebration. I love Ice Cream, but there are way too many Ice Cream celebrations. I am fresh out of adjectives to describe my favorite ice cream. So, I had no ice cream. Shed a tear for me please. But PS: I love cookie ice cream sandwiches.

Here is an equation:
Cookie(s) + ice cream = yummy stuff

sums up the celebration.

Lets talk about this months celebrations! Another best friend day. Woot Woot. And cupcake day. And August 31st is going to be the coolest holiday ever celebrated. I'm booking Emily Walker for August 31st. In case you don't know, I adore trail mix.

Sincerely,
Another Equation: fitted top+casual pant+structured jacket = WNTW approved outfit

PS: The August stuff is up, start celebrating people!
PPS: The search this blog gadget does not work. Sorry. If you've been needing to do some searching, you'll need to switch to manual. Again, I say sorry.
PPS: 3rd post with no pictures. Is this a record? You probably should be counting.

I scream for Ice cream (soda)

Well, you may have noticed I'm blogging today. I had time. I am not going to sleep over after all. I am terribly sorry I have no pictures of me in my halo. I have none. My acting was fantastic. I amazed even myself. I was so hot and hungry at the end, I was ready to get out of my outfit. Even that lovely halo. J and M were great fun. They were fabulous as Joseph and Mary. (J and M are different than Joseph and Mary.) J and I were whispering and M and I were tickling one another with the hay from the manger. Pretty cool. We danced behind the curtain when they sang the songs. And J refused to let me take her picture with her beard. I thought she looked cool.

Now to my celebrating.

Ice cream soda. Lovely. I like it. When we'd burn, sometimes the guys at the shop would get KJ ice cream soda. I helped myself. It came in these really cool glass bottles. My friends grandmother is building a house out of bottles. I could have donated mine to a worthy cause. I had no idea about it until recently. If I ever see it, I'll tell you. The F's say its pretty cool. Today I had ice cream and soda. I drank and ate them together and it was quite nice. The soda was extra fizzy and the dilly bar extra frozen. It was fizz-ozen. Fizzozen. Yes. It was. My dilly bar was a cherry one. It was pinky-red and oh so good. It was the cherry on top of a fabulous summer day.

Here is what I know about Toad Hollow.....

Exactly.
I know nothing about it. Mom does not either. But Thank you toad hollow for whatever you did, make or do. I think I would like to know what all the excitement is about. I don't like being left out. One time my cousins and I were trying to get away from my little cousin. We were in KJ's closet and Jack asked what we were doing. Elise told him we were going the bathroom. Then Jack said "Well, can I watch??" I feel your pain Jackson. I feel left out of the wonderfulness of Toad Hollow. The Delight. The pure beauty. I have a feeling Toad Hollow day of thank you has something to do with Nymphs or sprites or some creature of that kind. If it has anything to do with Toads though, count me out. Toads are really un-cool.

Sincerely,
I believe in Nymphs.

PS: Its really cool. I'll be having Ice cream twice today. And its really cool I'll be going to K's house on such a nice day. :)

PPS: I sold some stuff on ebay and now I am $100 dollars richer. Anyone want to go shopping this weekend?
