Season of Change (and a trip to Oxford Exchange)

Dear friends,
it is with equal parts sadness and excitement that I announce....I LIKE COFFEE. It's been an incredible journey for me. Through thick and thin, my friends have been an amazing support group. Encouraging me to finish every cup, say no to extra creamer and to try seasonal flavors. Also, thank you to Chickfila for providing free coffee for AN ENTIRE MONTH and not being upset when I went 4 times a day...for three weeks straight. I am so grateful for this process, it's been beautiful and messy and full of coffee stained clothing. But despite all that, it's worth it.

Why?

Because now I can go into cool coffee shops and actually order something.

I actually didn't order coffee, if I'm being honest. I ordered a pot of pumpkin spice tea and drank the whole. darn. thing. In under an hour, which was pretty impressive! However, I did steal a few...okay quite a few) sips of my friends coffee (both iced, hot, and London fog edition) and they were all amazing.

OXFORD EXCHANGE, YOU WIN.

Love, Kryn.

Patience, friends!

Christmas music go date is set! Hold the carols, the high pitched children and the sugar cookies until November 25th, please and thank you!

Having a December birthday has taught me to respect the seasons, and also exhibit self control when it comes to things of a holiday nature. I have a natural instinct to avert my eyes from anything Christmasy (think pure thoughts, kids!) I mean, Thanksgiving would be really thankful if you didn't get too wrapped up in your Christmas lights before the big Turkey day!

My name is Thanksgiving, and I approve this message.

When is your Christmas festivities go day? September 1st? I need to find others who defend the pure innocence of Thanksgiving!

Coffee.

I have a very interesting story that relates to Coffee and Pumpkin. This is kind of a multi celebration story.I love this story so very much.

Once Upon a time I was in an airport in Charlotte, NC, when I decided that I really wanted coffee. I'd never had coffee before, but J had been telling me about Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. I was intrigued. I went to Starbucks just before our flight came, and I bought A pumpkin Spice Latte. Basically, that was the biggest mistake of my life. I waited to drink any until we were on our flight. Another huge mistake.

We were flying with our Grandparents, and KJ and I were sitting separately from them. Luck was with me, I sat next to a guy STRAIGHT FROM FRANCE!!!! I was so terribly excited. He was on his way to visit his girlfriend in San Fransisco, which is the most romantic thing ever. Anyway, back to the coffee. I waited until we were in the air to take a drink. I took a drink. I gulped. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted. I wanted to like it so bad, but I couldn't. I nearly spit it out on our new french friend. I had KJ drink it and we both decided it tasted like cedar wood. Of course I've never feasted on cedar, but I'm fairly positive it would taste like a pumpkin spice latte.

Aside from drinking liquefied wood on that flight, it was by far the most enjoyable flight I've had. The french guy was very nice, he let us play with his iPhone. I had the honor of being his translator when the captain of flight attendants spoke. I got him coffee several times, which is another reason why this story relates to today's holiday.

Okay, so This really didn't have much to do with Coffee or pumpkin. But I love this story. Oh so very much.

Sincerely,
Jar Jar Bush
