Unlikely duo

Last year I was positive I was the most crafty person around. I made these little rosettes and at the time, they were the bomb. I made them out of a -get this-  a VINTAGE cookbook! How fantastically hip is that? And naturally, I selected recipes about sausage to be front and center. Sausage and Valentines Day - OH THE ROMANCE!

PS: Say happy birthday to my friend okay?

Hug a Vegan/Hippie

I hugged one vegan! I forgot to hug the other vegan, but anyhoo, one will do. I did my see-crud handshake with the other vegan, (who's not so vegan) so it think that counts as a hug. Whenever Emily eats meat, I clap. Cheer. Sing songs about the wonders of meat. I'm kind of mean that way. I am sorry! I could not live without bacon, ham and hamburgers. And maybe chicken nuggets.

My father and Mother have been invited to a hippie party. Don't you love it when you say father and mother? It makes me sound so prim and proper. Anyway, they have.
Dad's yet to acquire his full costume, but the wig and pendant are a pretty good start. And the sunglasses. Those are good too. And while we were in goodwill today looking for a costume for mom and me, I heard "gimme some lovin". I really wanted to break out and dance. I resisted until I got home and danced with Richard and the gang. Big Mama. Charlie. Emily. I love them. I am making Richard Simmons believers everywhere, and it is just the greatest.

And that's that. I hope you hugged your vegan today.

Sincerely,
Do you love sausage???

An apple a day...

...Keeps the health food away. KJ and I made that up many years ago. We used to eat apples to torment mom when she was on health food kicks. Ugh. The oatmeal. The Cancer soup. Scary, scary memories. Thankfully we are no longer on health food kicks. And we all still like apples, imagine that! I had one today, in case you were wondering.

Also, I love the phrase "You are the apple of my eye." For some reason, I have this strange notion that Cleopatra said it. I am fairly sure I am wrong. Then I think of Shel Silversteen. But I know it wasn't him. No one has ever said that to me. Yet.

Sincerely,
Cleopatty
